Create an account

This is how you can create your checkout page in just 3 steps.

Step 1 – Edit Settings

Click on the Edit settings button, and the page you want to edit will be displayed in a brand new tab. Don’t worry, you’ll be taken to that page automatically.

The Edit page can be divided into five sections. You can edit the General tab to change a lot of things, such as your cart logo or your content URL parameters.

You can edit the integration details by selecting MailChimp in the drop-down menu. Add the integration label to your API key.

You will then need to log in to your MailChimp email account in order for your API key. Log in with your username/password to Mailchimp.com

After you log in successfully to your MailChimp account, navigate to the Extras menu. You’ll find API keys at the drop-down.

Click on the Create Key button to generate the API key for you automatically. You don’t need to do anything.

Copy the code and paste it into your SamCart integration configuration.

And that’s all there is to it.

You may need to do some modifications if you wish to integrate other platforms.

These are usually the two ways the integration processes always work, in many cases.

If your product is a subscription site, you may also wish to integrate with a platform for members.

Scroll down the integration page until you find the Membership link.

I can continue to input the information and click on “Integrate” Your dashboard contains all the information you need. Log in to OptimizeMember Dashboard to view them.

Next, you will be able to customize your email settings. This functionality is available by clicking on the Email tab. Some settings that you can edit are:

What about when processes go sour? This is where you can set up the emails that are sent to customers when processes fail. They are known as Dunning Emails.

After you’re done editing your email, you can add custom fields if desired. You can add customized fields to your checkout pages by clicking the CUSTOMFIELDS tab.

Enter the name of the fields you want to add, the internal field name won’t be seen by your customer but the check out page label will be shown to the customer as the field name.

The drop-down list will display a list of items when you click on the box. You should know that a drop-down listing allows only one item to be selected by the customer.

A checkbox can contain multiple items that the user can choose from. A customer has the option to select all of them, or just one.

It is a checkbox for one item.

Click Save when you are done.

You can add as many as possible. However, long forms are not liked by customers. Make sure your form is not too long.

They will likely abandon their shopping cart. As I said, about 2/3 of all customers will abandon their shopping cart.

You shouldn’t give customers another reason to abandon your site. According to the research, 27% of respondents said that they abandon shopping carts because they are too complicated and long. Wishlist Member And Samcart

Please, keep it simple.

Enter their email address and click on “Add New”. Once they accept your request, you will be sent an email. Once they do, they should be able to login as an administrator, too.

The setup is complete.

Next, let’s get to Step 2

Step 2 Connect a Processor

If you have been following the tutorial, go back to the previous tab. At this point, you want to connect a payment processor to enable you to receive payments. Click on the Add Payment Processor button.

Once again, you’ll be taken back to the Settings and the Integration tab. There you’ll find the payment integration choice.

Click on the big ADD New button or the +Add new Button in the upper right corner of the page to add a payment processor.

SamCart is currently integrated with Stripe and Paypal as payment processors.

When you click on the Create New tab, a page with this information will pop up:

Click on Stripe or Paypal. Click on Stripe to open this page and log in with your credentials.

The form is easy to fill out. Make sure your country is the list of countries that accept Stripe payments.

If you decide to add the two payment options for your customers, that’ll be nice. Customers can choose the payment method they prefer.

Let’s continue to the next step.

Step 3 – Create a Product

Return to your dashboard. Return to your dashboard. The most exciting part is here: Click on the Add First Product button.

Click on this button to open the next page

Click the button “+New Product”

This page will show up for you to add new product information. Enter the product name and price. Choose whether the payment will be one-time or recurring.

An ebook product will be a one-time payment product. However, an online course or membership will require a recurring payment option.

Once you have entered the product information you may need to update the next page.

As you can see, there are additional settings you can choose to complete your check-out.

Let’s start by looking at the product image. Upload your product image. The image you upload will look exactly like the one on SamCart’s checkout page.

Enter a webpage address your customers will be taken to when they complete their purchase on your checkout page. Most people will have a page like yourdomain.com/thankyou.html Next enter the product type are you selling a digital product or physical product?

If it is a digital product you can upload it immediately. But, if you don’t have a digital product to upload, you can ignore it. Wishlist Member And Samcart

You can also enable the coupon code option for this stage if you plan to use coupons in marketing.

You can enable it to allow people to use coupons to purchase your product at a reduced price.

Click on the Add New Coupon button, a pop up will show up with the following information:

Promo codes can be a great way of generating more customers for your company. Discounts are loved by customers. Some customers might even buy products they don’t need because of the discount.

They’ll admit that it might become expensive later and may not be able to afford it.

Click on Checkout Design to open a selection of over 18 templates. Any of the templates you like can be selected.

You can activate Stripe if Stripe has already been integrated.

You wish to add an additional product. To edit the upsell option, click on the Upsell tab. Here is an example of how your upsell product will look like:

It should be an item your customers can add to their shopping cart to compliment the product they’ve bought.

Edit your Upsells by clicking on the UpSells Tab and editing it. Add a product, note you should have created the product, just like we created the belly fat product. So you just need to click and add it.

It’s possible to add upsell funnels here if you have created one. We’ll talk more on upsell funnel later in this article.
