Create an account

It is very simple to create a SamCart. Log in to SamCart.com, and click the “TRY IT FREE” button.

You’ll be redirected to the pricing page where you can choose the plan you want to try.

It’s not necessary to pay an initial payment in order to try it. After clicking on any plan, you will be taken to checkout.

During the 14 days of the trial period, you will not be charged for the product. You have 14 days to cancel your subscription.

After you have completed your order, you will be taken to the signup page.

Next, you’ll need to create a marketplace. This form will look something like the one below.

Fill out the form and once you’re done, click “Create Marketplace” to get started.

Next, create a checkout page. This is how your SamCart dashboard should look.

Step 1: Edit Settings

You can click the Edit Settings button to open the page you wish to edit in a new tab. Don’t worry, you’ll be taken to that page automatically.

Let’s take it step by step.

The Edit page is divided into 5 sections. The General tab allows you to edit a variety of options, including your cart logo and your content URL parameters.

Let’s look at the fields you can edit:

i). Marketplace Name: The Marketplace name is something you can always change, remember you added it in your signup process, right?

You can always edit it if that was not accurate.

The next step is to choose a default country to display on your checkout pages. However, your customers have the option to change this at any time.

ii Time Zone: Now you can choose the Time Zone that your cart will work with. Samcart Users

This is important, because if your product expiry dates are added, the date and time of your products will be counted based upon the time zone specified. Customers can then know which time zone your company uses.

iii). Support Contact: In this field, you want to add your support contact email. Add an email customers can contact you with easily.

Any email address you choose can be added. However, it’s better to add a business email address, for example, [email protected]

iv). Currency: After you register your currency, you will not be able change it. You can’t change the currency at this stage.

However, SamCart support can be reached to rectify the error.

v Embed HTML/Scripts box: If you are a bit more tech-savvy, and want to add any HTML/JavaScript code into your checkout page’s pages, you can put your code in this Embed HTML/Scripts box.

vi You can also choose where you want your customers to go after they have completed their purchase. If you would like them to go back to the original URL, you can display a summary page or include redirect links. It’s your choice.

The Redirect Link Button text allows you to tell your customers what to do next by using a call-to-action button.

You can, for example, grant them access to the product.

Once you’ve done this, you should be okay and ready to go. But if you need to quickly configure your marketing analytics, you can do this as well.

You can keep the settings as they are. If you prefer a custom setting, you can modify the fields using any name you like following the example.

Once you’re done editing these settings, please save the settings. The Save button appears in the top left corner of your page.

Next, you will be able to go to the Integration Menu tab. There are many options for integrations.

You should set up the integration as soon as possible so that it is not necessary to do this each time you sell a new product.

Let’s first integrate our email autoresponder program. To add an email address service, click the + Add New button.

Choose the one that applies to you. If you’ve signed up with AWeberor MailChimp, you can click on it and follow the instructions for integration.

Let’s assume that MailChimp is your autoresponder of choice for this example.

You can edit the integration details by selecting MailChimp in the drop-down menu. Input your API key and add the integration label.

Click on the Create Key button to generate the API key for you automatically. The API key will be generated automatically for you.

Copy the code and paste it into your SamCart integration configuration.

If you also want to integrate another platform, the process might be a bit different.

To integrate with Aweber, for example, you don’t need to manually go to your dashboard to get your API key. The system will allow you to log in and complete the integration.

These are often the two most common ways in which integration processes work in many situations.

However, if you have a product that is a member site, it might be a good idea to integrate with a members platform.

Scroll down to the bottom of the page until you see the Membership link.

Click on Add Integration and choose the membership platform that you would like to use with your product.

You can enter all the details and click on the “integrate” button. Your dashboard contains all the information you need. Log into OptimizeMember to see them.

Next, customize the email settings. To access this functionality, click on the Email Tab.

a). Email Footer – Here you can edit your footer details, which will be included in all emails you send from your dashboard.

Once you click it, a popup box will show up for you to edit.

To make changes, click the Edit button.

What about when processes break down? Here are Dunning Emails. These emails are for customers who experience failure in processes.

You can edit your emails and add custom fields, if you want. You can add customized fields to your checkout pages by clicking the CUSTOMFIELDS tab.

To add custom fields, click on the + Create New button.

Pop ups will appear.

Please enter the names of the fields that you wish to add. The customer won’t see the internal field name, but the check-out page label will.

A list of items that appear when you click on the field. A drop-down list allows the customer to choose only one item.

A checkbox will have several options that a user has the option to choose from. Customers can choose to pick all or one of the items in a checkbox.

It is a checkbox for one item.

Once you are done, click on Save.

You can add as many as you wish. However, long forms are not liked by customers. Be brief.

They will likely abandon their shopping cart. As I said, about 2/3 of all customers will abandon their shopping cart.

Don’t add another reason for them to leave. One of the main reasons 27% customers abandon shopping carts is that it is too complicated. Samcart Users

Please, keep it simple.

Enter their email address below and click Add New. They’ll receive an email to accept your request. Once they have accepted your request, they’ll be able to log in as an administrator.

This completes Step 1 of the setup process.

Next, let us move on to step 2:

Step 2 Connect a Processor

If you have been following the tutorial, go back to the previous tab. Connect a payment processor so you can receive payments. Click the Add Payment Processing button.

Once again, you’ll be taken back to the Settings and the Integration tab. You will find the payment integration option here.

To add a payment processor, click on the big ADD NEW button or the +Add New Button by the top right corner of the page.

SamCart is currently integrated with Stripe and Paypal as payment processors.

A page will appear once you click the Create New button.

Click on either Paypal or Stripe. You can login to Stripe by clicking on Stripe if you click Stripe.

Complete the form and you’ll be good to go. Verify that your country is listed in Stripe’s accepted countries.

If you decide to add the two payment options for your customers, that’ll be nice. Customers can choose their preferred payment payment processor.

Let’s next move to the next:

Step 3 – Create a Product

Now, return to your dashboard. From where you were redirected to the Payment processor page. This is the most interesting part.

You should now see the page below after you have clicked on the button.

Click on “+New Product”.

This page will show up for you to add new product information. Enter the product name, price, and description. And also choose if it’s going to be a one time payment or recurring payment.

A product such as an ebook will likely only be available for one-time payments. However, a product such a membership or online course will likely require a recurring option.

Once you have entered the product information you may need to update the next page.

As you can see, there are additional settings you can choose to complete your check-out.

Let’s start with the product picture. Upload your product image. This image will appear on the SamCart checkout page.

Enter a webpage address your customers will be taken to when they complete their purchase on your checkout page. Most people will have a page like yourdomain.com/thankyou.html Next enter the product type are you selling a digital product or physical product?

If it’s a digital product, you have the option to upload it immediately. If it’s not a product in digital format, you have the option to ignore that option. Samcart Users

Final note: If you are going to use coupon codes for marketing purposes, you can enable this option.

When you enable it, people will be able add coupons to your product to get a discount.

Click on “Add New Coupon” to open a pop-up with the following details:

You can generate more customers by using coupon codes. Discounts are very popular with customers.

They’ll admit that it might become expensive later and may not be able to afford it.

They’ll most likely be motivated to purchase. A great strategy is coupon code marketing. Samcart Users

Complete the coupon code setup: Choose a code for your coupon code, set the duration will it be a one-time coupon or a recurring coupon code? Choose the one that best describes what your customer wants.

You can add a coupon at no additional cost.

Now let’s move to the checkout page design:

Click on Checkout Design to open a selection of over 18 templates. Any of them can be customized to your brand.

Scroll down to modify the design. You’ll find a bunch of settings you can edit to match your brand’s voice.

Start by customizing the colors.

You have the option to choose from predefined color codes or design your own. The best part is that it has a color picker, you can use this color picker to select the color you want without bothering about the color codes.

You can change the color of the header, footer, background, headline, and your buttons color.

Next, add fields. Remember the “school” field that you created earlier? We can add it to your product page. Check all the fields you want to be active on your checkout page.

Next, you can adjust your product’s guarantee settings. What guarantee are they offering your customers Are you offering a guarantee of 30 days? Samcart Users

You can add this setting here. SamCart, like I mentioned earlier, is designed to encourage conversion. These features encourage conversion.

To add more bullet points, use the +Add Bull button.

Once you set that up completely, you can now move to adding your terms and conditions. Turn it in.

Before a customer can buy your product, they must agree to your terms.

Have in mind that you’ll provide a URL where your terms and condition content is hosted.

You will find the link at the bottom of your page under the hyperlink “Terms & Conditions.” Next, add the payment processor to your checkout page. Don’t worry, you won’t need to go through the steps you went through in step two again.

Simply click on the Payments tab, and you can turn on all active Payment options.

A secondary payment processor can also be added. This is specifically for those merchants who want to add an alternative secondary product. Select an item from the drop-down list by clicking on it. Samcart Users

You want to add an upsell product. To edit the upsell option, click on the Upsell tab. Here’s an example how your upsell product would look:

It should be an item your customers can add to their shopping cart to compliment the product they’ve bought.

Click on the UpSells button to modify your Upsells. Note that you must have created the product before adding it to the cart. Simply click to add it.

It’s possible to add upsell funnels here if you have created one. Later in this article, we’ll discuss the upsell funnel.

Next, let’s take a look at the next step in the process of creating our product checkout page and that’s integration.

You can invite affiliates to register using this link and start promoting your products. Once your affiliates creates an account, they’ll be notified of a successful registration and that their application is pending approval.

Once approved, they’ll be sent their login details Email, password, login URL where they can access their accounts and everything they require to start promoting your products.

If you do not want to have them pending you can activate automatic approbation in your Affiliate Dashboard.

Scroll to the bottom of your affiliate dashboard to edit these settings. You’ll see a slide called “Auto Approval” that you can toggle off or on:

So instead of receiving email notifications that they’re application is pending approval, they’ll automatically be approved. They will immediately receive their login information and be logged in to the dashboard.

What will it take for someone who clicked on your affiliate link and didn’t purchase the first time to be considered an affiliate referral?

Example: If I click your affiliate link and then return to your checkout pages after 30 days, can I still be considered your referee?
