Create an account

It is easy to create a SamCart Account. Log in to SamCart.com, and click the “TRY IT FREE” button.

You’ll then be redirected the pricing page to choose the plan that you wish to test.

You’re not required to make any initial payment before trying it out. You’ll be taken directly to the checkout page after you click on one of the plans.

You won’t be charged for using the product during the 14-day trial period. You may cancel your subscription within 14 days of the trial.

Once you complete the order you’ll be taken to a signup page.

Your marketplace will be created. This form will look something like the one below.

Please fill out this form. Once you’re done click “Create Marketplace”.

Next, create a checkout page. Here’s how your SamCart dashboard looks like:

As you can see, it takes only three steps to create your checkout pages.

Step 1 – Edit Settings

You can click the Edit Settings button to open the page you wish to edit in a new tab. Don’t worry, you’ll be taken to that page automatically.

Let’s take it step by step.

The Edit page is divided into 5 sections. You can edit the General tab to change a lot of things, such as your cart logo or your content URL parameters.

Let’s see what you can edit in this fields:

i). Marketplace Name: The Marketplace name is something you can always change, remember you added it in your signup process, right?

If you feel it wasn’t correct, you can still make changes to it.

Next, you will choose the default country for your checkout page. Your customers can change it at any time to their country of choice.

ii). Time Zone: You can now select the Time Zone your cart will be working with. Samcart Sales Orgin

This is important since if you add a product expired date, your date/time and time will be calculated based off the timezone you specified. You can tell your customers the timezone you are using.

iii). Support Contact: Add your support contact email to this field. Add an email address to which customers can contact you easily.

Any email address you choose can be added. However, it’s better to add a business email address, for example, [email protected]

iv). Currency: Please note that after you register, you can’t change the currency. You can’t change the currency at this stage.

If you wish to make any changes to it, contact the SamCart support team.

v). Embed HTML/Scripts: If you’re a bit tech-savvy and would like to add HTML or JavaScript code on your checkout page, then you can use the Embed HTML/Scripts area.

It doesn’t require any additional settings to make it work. It should work right out the box. Samcart Sales Orgin

vi You can also choose where you want your customers to go after they have completed their purchase. If you would like them to go back to the original URL, you can display a summary page or include redirect links. It’s your choice.

You can also use the Redirect Link ButtonText to let your customers know what to do next.

They can be granted access to digital products, such as the product. You also allow them to join your premium area.

After you have completed this step, you will be ready to go. But if you need to quickly configure your marketing analytics, you can do this as well.

You can keep the settings as they are. But if you want a customized setting you can go ahead and change the values in the fields with any name you desire following the example above.

Save these settings once you’re done editing them. The Save button is located in the top right corner.

Next, you can move to the Integration menu tab: There are a bunch of integrations options there.

You need to make sure you have the integration set up now, so it doesn’t take you too long to add new products.

Let’s begin with integrating our autoresponder email software. To add an additional email service, click “+Add New”

Choose the one that applies to you. Once you have registered with AWeberor MailChimp click on it to follow the instructions.

Let’s pretend that MailChimp is the autoresponder of your choice in this example.

Modify the integration details for MailChimp if you have selected it from the dropdown menu. Add the integration label and input your API key.

You can enter any name to your label. You will use this name to identify your integration, in the event that you decide to use it. It’s best to name it something descriptive. MailChimp Integration is what I will name it. Samcart Sales Orgin

Next, log into your MailChimp Account to obtain your API key. Log in to Mailchimp.com with your username, password and email address.

After you login successfully to your MailChimp email account, you can go to the Extras menu. Here you’ll find API key drop-down lists.

Click on Create a Key to get your API key generated automatically. It’s that easy!

Copy it and copy it to your SamCart Integration setup.

This is all there is to it.

You might also need to integrate another platform. This process could be slightly different.

For example, to integrate with Aweber, you don’t have to go get your API key from your dashboard manually, the system just allows you to login and it completes the integration.

Here’s one example:

These are typically the two methods that integrate in many cases.

If your product is a subscription site, you may also wish to integrate with a platform for members.

Scroll down to the bottom of the page until you see the Membership link.

Click on + Add New.

This page will appear:

Click on Add Integration to select the membership platform you wish to use for your product.

I can now input the required information and click the Integration button. All of the necessary information can be found in your dashboard. Log in to your OptimizeMember dashboard for all the details.

Next, customize your email settings. Click on the Email tab to access this function. You can modify the following settings:

a Email Footer – Here you can edit your footer details, which will be included in all emails you send from your dashboard.

Once you click it, a popup box will show up for you to edit.

Next, you will need to create emails which are the same for each customer for certain events. Samcart Sales Orgin

If a customer has an order that is cancelled, it will be refunded.

b Emails that can be customized

Click the Edit button to edit it.

What happens when processes fail? This is where you can set up the emails that are sent to customers when processes fail. They are known as Dunning Emails.

c). Emails to Dupes

After editing your emails are complete, you can add custom field if you would like. If you would like to add custom fields to your checkout page please click the CUSTOM FIELD tab.

Custom Fields To create a new field, click the + Create button

Pop ups will appear.

Please enter the names of the fields that you wish to add. The customer won’t see the internal field name, but the check-out page label will.

A drop-down list of items appears when you click the field. The customer can only select one item from a drop-down menu.

A checkbox can contain multiple items that the user can choose from. Customers can choose to pick all or one of the items in a checkbox.

This is a single-item checkbox.

Click Save when you are done.

As many as you like. I warn you that customers don’t like long forms. Don’t make your form too long.

They’ll most likely abandon it. As I mentioned earlier, two thirds of customers abandon their shopping cart.

Do not give them another reason to leave. The research shows that 27% leave shopping carts when they find it too difficult or lengthy. Samcart Sales Orgin

Please keep it simple.

Enter their email address below and click Add New. Your request will be accepted by them via email. They will receive an email to accept your request. Once that happens, they will also be able log in as an administrator.

You’re done with Step 1 in the setup process.

Next, let’s move to Step 2:

Step 2 Connect a Processor

If you have been following the tutorial, go back to the previous tab. You will need to connect a processor in order to receive payments. Click on “Add Payment Processor”

You will then be taken to Settings again. Where you can find the payment integration option.

To add a payment processor, click on the big ADD NEW button or the +Add New Button by the top right corner of the page.

SamCart now integrates with Stripe and Paypal.

When you click on the Create New tab, a page with this information will pop up:

Click on either Paypal or Stripe. Click on Stripe to open this page and log in with your credentials.

Fill in the form and you should be ready to go. Verify that your country is listed in Stripe’s accepted countries.

If you decide to add the two payment options for your customers, that’ll be nice. Customers can choose which payment processor they prefer.

Let’s continue to the next step.

Step 3 – Create a Product

Now, return to your dashboard. From where you were redirected to the Payment processor page. Here’s the fun part: click on the Add first Product Button.

Click that button and you’ll see the following page.

Click on “+New Product”.

This page will allow you to enter new product information. Enter the name, price, and description of your product. Choose whether the payment will be one-time or recurring.

A product like an ebook will most likely be a one time payment type of product, however, a product such as a membership or an online course will most likely require a recurring payment option.

Once you add the product information, you might need to add more information in the next page that’ll show up.

These settings can be found in the top menu.

Let’s start from the product image. Upload your product image. The image will appear exactly as this on the SamCart checkout pages:

When customers make a purchase on your checkout page they will be directed to a specific webpage. Most people will have a page like yourdomain.com/thankyou.html Next enter the product type are you selling a digital product or physical product?

You can upload the product immediately if it is a digital one. You can ignore this option if the product is not digital. Samcart Sales Orgin

You can also enable the coupon code option for this stage if you plan to use coupons in marketing.

It’s possible to create coupons for people to buy your product at reduced prices once you enable it.

Click on the button to Add New Coupon. A pop-up will appear with the following information.

A great way to increase your customer base is to use coupon codes. Customers love discounts, just think about it, some customers can buy stuff they don’t even need just because it’s discounted.

They will say it may become too expensive later on, when they might be in need and don’t have the cash.

So they’ll probably want to purchase. Coupon code marketing is a fantastic strategy. Samcart Sales Orgin

Complete the coupon setup: Pick a code for your coupon, and select whether it is a one time coupon or a regular coupon. Select the option that best describes your product or service.

Note that adding a coupon is completely optional.

Let’s now move on to the checkout page design.

Click on the Checkout Design tab and then select from more than 18 templates at the time of writing. You can choose the one that best suits your brand.

Scroll down for more options. You’ll find a bunch of settings you can edit to match your brand’s voice.

You can start by customizing the colors.

You have the option to choose from predefined color codes or design your own. The best thing about it is that you can use the color picker to choose the color you want, without having to worry about the code.

You can change the color of the header, footer, background, headline, and your buttons color.

Next, you will need to add fields. This includes your custom fields. We also have the “school”, which we previously created, that we can add to your product pages. Check all the fields you want to be active on your checkout page.

You can now move to the next settings in your product guarantee settings. What guarantee are you giving your customers? Is your guarantee a 30-day guarantee or a money-back guarantee? Samcart Sales Orgin

This setting can be added to the site. SamCart, like I mentioned earlier, is designed to encourage conversion. All of these features are features that encourage conversion.

You can use the +Add Bullet button to add more points as bullet points to your Checkout page.

Once you set that up completely, you can now move to adding your terms and conditions. Turn it in.

Customers must accept your terms and condition before they are able to purchase your product.

Have in mind that you’ll provide a URL where your terms and condition content is hosted.

This link will appear at the bottom on the page. Next, you need to add the payment processor. It’s not necessary to repeat the steps that you did in step 2.

Just click on the Payments tab and turn the Payment options that are active on.

In my case, only PayPal is active because I’ve only integrated PayPal for this review. Samcart Sales Orgin

But if you’ve integrated Stripe, you’ll find it active and you can turn it on as well.

It is possible to add a second payment processor. This option is for merchants who wish to add a secondary product. Click on the dropdown menu to choose an item. Samcart Sales Orgin

You wish to add an additional product. Click on the Upsell tab to edit the upsell option. This is how an upsell product should look like:

It should be a product your customers add to their cart to complement the product.

To edit your Upsells, click on the UpSells tab and edit it. Add a product, note you should have created the product, just like we created the belly fat product. Click and then add the product.

It’s possible to add upsell funnels here if you have created one. This article will discuss more about the upsell funnel.

Next, let’s take a look at the next step in the process of creating our product checkout page and that’s integration.

Click on Integration tab

You’ll see that our MailChimp Integration is appearing in the dropdown list.

You can choose from the drop-down menu which list you want to add customers to after a purchase or refund and to remove them from after purchase or refund.

You will also see that there is no membership integration.

However, if your product is a membership-based product, it is important to integrate your portal using the methods we’ve discussed.

To increase conversion, you can add a YouTube video. You also have the option to adjust other settings to maximize your sales potential.

Once you’re done filling out the form, enable and save the settings.

To access this page, you need to log in to your dashboard and navigate to the AFFILIATES tab in the menu bar.

And once the page is fully loaded, scroll down the page until you find the fields where your affiliates will login and a place where they’ll sign up.

You’ll get something similar if you put the link to the signup page in your browser. However, it will be with your product name.

Affiliates can register with that link to start promoting your products. Once your affiliates register, they’ll be notified about a successful registration. Also, their application is pending approval.

From your affiliate dashboard, you can manually approve or decline the application. Samcart Sales Orgin

Once they have been approved, they will receive their login details Email, password and URL. From there, they can access the accounts and all they need to promote your products.

However, if you don’t want to keep them pending, you can activate automatic approval in your Affiliate dashboard.

Scroll to the bottom of your affiliate dashboard to edit these settings. You’ll see a slide called “Auto Approval” that you can toggle off or on:

Instead of receiving emails advising them that their application is being reviewed, they’ll be approved immediately. They will immediately receive their login information and be logged in to the dashboard.

Here’s how the dashboards of your affiliates will look once they login.

How long do you think it will take for someone who clicks on your links to register but doesn’t actually purchase anything to be considered as an affiliate referral?

You can ask, for example, that if I click on your link and go to your checkout page within 30 days to make a payment, will my referral status be maintained?

You can also add these settings to your account:

Scroll down in your affiliate dashboard until you see the Cookie Expiration option. Enter the number days it will last.

The following example shows that if someone clicks on an associate link and buys your product within 30 days, it will be recorded for your affiliates.

Scroll down and adjust the settings to create the Sales Letter Popup.

Once you have everything set up click the share button in the top-left corner of your dashboard. This will give you the code to add to your website.

You have it. This is the code you should enter on your website.

Copy this code and paste it on your product page. This code will be displayed in your product page so that a popup appears when someone clicks on it.
