Create an account

It is easy to create a SamCart Account. Log into the website SamCart.com and click on the obvious ‘TRY IT FREE’ button.

You’ll be redirected to the pricing page where you can choose the plan you want to try.

You’re not required to make any initial payment before trying it out. Once you click on any of the plans, you’ll be taken to the checkout page.

During the 14 days of the trial period, you will not be charged for the product. You can cancel your subscription anytime during the 14-day trial period.

Once you place your order, you’ll be taken on a signup webpage.

And then you’ll have to create your marketplace. The form below is the example.

Complete the form, and click “Create Marketplace” once you are done.

Next is creating a checkout webpage. Here’s an example of what your SamCart dashboard might look like:

As you can see, it takes only three steps to create your checkout pages.

Step 1: Edit settings

You can click the Edit Settings button to open the page you wish to edit in a new tab. Don’t worry, you’ll be taken to that page automatically.

Let’s do it step by step.

The Edit page can be divided into five sections. The General tab lets you edit a range of options, from your cart logo to the parameters of your content URL.

Let’s look at the fields you can edit:

i). Marketplace Name. This name is customizable.

You can always edit it if that was not accurate.

Next, you will choose the default country for your checkout page. Your customers can change it at any time to their country of choice.

ii). Time Zone: Select the Time Zone with which your cart will operate. Samcart Review 2016

This is important as if you add an expiry date to your product, it will count based on the time zone that you specify. You can also let your customers know which time zone you use.

iii). Support Contact: Here you will add your support email. Add an email address customers can reach you easily.

Any email address can be added. However, it’s better to add a business email address, for example, [email protected]

iv). Currency: Please note that after you register, you can’t change the currency. You cannot change your currency after registration.

You may change your SamCart account by contacting our support team.

v Embed HTML/Scripts fields: If you have some technical knowledge and wish to add HTML/JavaScript code to your checkout pages, you can fill in the Embed HTML/Scripts fields.

vi Complete purchase: Here you can select the destination your users will go to after making a purchase. You can choose whether you want your users to go to the original URL or display a summary page with links.

With the Redirect Link Button Text, you can tell your customers what next to do with a call for action button.

For example, they can gain access to your product, download the digital product that they have purchased, and join your premium section.

Once you’ve done this, you should be okay and ready to go. However, if you’d like to instantly configure your marketing analysis, you can do so here.

The settings can be left as they are. You don’t have to make any changes. If you prefer a custom setting, you can modify the fields using any name you like following the example.

Save the settings after you have finished editing. The Save button is located in the top right corner.

Next, move to Integration menu tab. There is a wide range of integration options.

You need to make sure you have the integration set up now, so it doesn’t take you too long to add new products.

Let’s first integrate our email autoresponder program. To add an Email Service, click on “+ Add New”.

Pick the one that best suits you. If you’ve signed up with AWeberor MailChimp, you can click on it and follow the instructions for integration.

Let’s assume that MailChimp is your autoresponder of choice for this example.

If you choose MailChimp from the drop-down menu, edit the integration details. Add the integration label and input your API key.

Your label can be given any name you want. You will use this name to identify your integration, in the event that you decide to use it. Give it a descriptive name. I’ll name mine MailChimp Integration. Samcart Review 2016

You will then need to log in to your MailChimp email account in order for your API key. Log in to Mailchimp.com with your username, password and email address.

After you login successfully to your MailChimp email account, you can go to the Extras menu. Here you’ll find API key drop-down lists.

Click on the Create Key button, and an API key will automatically be generated. You don’t have to do anything else.

Copy it and copy it to your SamCart Integration setup.

And that’s all there is to it.

It might take a little longer if you are also looking to integrate another platform.

You don’t even have to go to your dashboard in order to obtain your API Key. Aweber will automatically log you in to complete your integration.

These are typically the two methods that integrate in many cases.

However, if you have a product that is a member site, it might be a good idea to integrate with a members platform.

Scroll down to find the Membership link.

Click the + Add New button.

And here’s the page:

Click on Add Integration to select the membership platform you wish to use for your product.

I can now input the required information and click the Integration button. Your dashboard has all the information. Log in to OptimizeMember Dashboard to view them.

Next, you can customize your email settings. This functionality is available by clicking on the Email tab. Some settings that you can edit are:

a Email Footer Editable: Here you can modify the footer details for every email that you send from dashboard. You can do this either automatically or manually.

Click it to open a popup box that you can edit.

b). Emails that can be customized

Click the Edit button to edit it.

What happens if processes fail completely? Here are Dunning Emails. These emails are for customers who experience failure in processes.

c Email Dunning:

You can edit your emails and add custom fields, if you want. If you wish to add customized fields on your checkout page, this is the place to do it.

Custom Fields: Click on the + Add New button to create a new field.

A pop up will appear.

Please enter the names of the fields that you wish to add. The customer won’t see the internal field name, but the check-out page label will.

You will see a list with all the items you have selected when you click on it. You should know that a drop-down listing allows only one item to be selected by the customer.

A checkbox can contain multiple items that the user can choose from. A customer has the option to select all of them, or just one.

This is a single item checkbox though.

Click on Save once you are done.

You can add as many as you wish. But let me warn you, customers hate long forms. Don’t make your form too long.

They’ll most likely abandon it. As I said, about 2/3 of all customers will abandon their shopping cart.

Do not give them another reason to leave. Research shows that 27% of shoppers abandon shopping carts due to it being too complicated or long. Samcart Review 2016

Please keep it simple.

Enter their email address in Enter email and click on the Add New button. Your request will be accepted by them via email. After they accept your request, they will be able login as administrator.

Now you are done with Step 1.

Next, let’s get to Step 2

Step 2 Connect a Processor

Go back to the previous tab if you’ve been following this tutorial. Now you will connect a pay processor to allow you to receive payments. Click the Add Payment Processing button.

Once again, you’ll be taken back to the Settings and the Integration tab. Here you will find the Payment Integration option.

To add a payment processing processor, click the big ADD NEW button in the top right corner.

As of the time of this writing, SamCart integrates with two payment processors Paypal and Stripe.

After clicking on the Create New link, a page will open showing you this:

Click on Stripe or Paypal. If you click Stripe, you will be able to log in using your credentials.

You can start by filling out the form. You must ensure that Stripe accepts payments from your country.

If you are able to include both payment options for your customers that would be nice. Customers can choose the preferred payment processor.

Next, let’s move to the next step:

Step 3: Create a Product

Now go back to your dashboard. Return to your dashboard. This is the most interesting part.

Click on this button to open the next page

Click the button “+New Product”

This page will show up for you to add new product information. Enter the product name and price. Also, choose whether you want a one-time or recurring payment.

A product such as an ebook will likely only be available for one-time payments. However, a product such a membership or online course will likely require a recurring option.

After adding the product information to the page, you might need more information on the next page.

As you can see, there are additional settings you can choose to complete your check-out.

Let’s start with the product picture. Upload your product image. The image you upload will look exactly like the one on SamCart’s checkout page.

When your customers complete their order on your checkout page, enter a URL address. Most people will have a page like yourdomain.com/thankyou.html Next enter the product type are you selling a digital product or physical product?

If the product is digital, you can upload it immediately. But, if you don’t have a digital product to upload, you can ignore it. Samcart Review 2016

Finally, this stage allows you to enable the coupon codes option if you intend to use coupons for your marketing.

You can enable it to allow people to use coupons to purchase your product at a reduced price.

Click on “Add New Coupon” to open a pop-up with the following details:

A great way to increase your customer base is to use coupon codes. Customers love discounts, just think about it, some customers can buy stuff they don’t even need just because it’s discounted.

They’ll tell you that it might get very expensive in future, and they might not have enough money at that time.

You will need to complete the coupon code setup. Choose a coupon code and set the expiration date. Choose the option that best describes what you want to offer your customers.

You can add a coupon at no additional cost.

Now let’s move to the checkout page design:

Click on the Checkout Design tab to choose from 18 templates at this time. You can choose any one of them that suits your brand.

Scroll down to customize the design. You will find many options to customize the design to suit your brand’s voice.

Start by customizing colors.

You can choose from the pre-defined colors or make your own. The best part is that it has a color picker, you can use this color picker to select the color you want without bothering about the color codes.

You can alter the colors of your header, footer and background as well as the buttons.

Next, add fields. Remember the “school” field that you created earlier? We can add it to your product page. Check the fields that are active on your checkout page.

Next, you can adjust your product’s guarantee settings. What guarantee can you give your customers? Are you offering a 30-day money back guarantee? Samcart Review 2016

This setting can be added to the site. SamCart was created with conversion in the mind. All these features encourage conversion.

To add bullet points to your Checkout pages, you can click the +Add Bullet button

Once that is complete, you are ready to add your terms. Turn on.

Customers must accept your terms and condition before they are able to purchase your product.

Remember that you will provide a URL to where your terms & conditions content is hosted.

This link will appear at the bottom on the page. Next, you need to add the payment processor. You don’t have to repeat the steps from step 2 again.

Click on the Payments tab to turn on any active payment options.

But if you’ve integrated Stripe, you’ll find it active and you can turn it on as well.

A secondary payment processor can also be added. This is specifically for those merchants who want to add an alternative secondary product. Click on the drop-down menu to select an item. Samcart Review 2016

You want to add an upsell product. Click on the Upsell Tab to edit the Upsell option. Here is an example showing how your upsell products will look:

It should be a product your customers add to their cart to complement the product.

To modify your Upsells click on the UpSellstab and edit it. When adding a product to your cart, make sure you have created it, just like the product for belly fat. Click and then add the product.

You can also add an upsell funnel to this page if you have one. In this article, we will talk about upsell funnels.

Next, let’s take a look at the next step in the process of creating our product checkout page and that’s integration.

Click the Integration tab

You will notice that the MailChimp integration appears in our drop-down list.

From the drop-down menu, you can select which customer list to add or remove from after a purchase.

You will also notice that there is no member integration. It’s entirely optional.

If you want to know how your checkout page is converting, the right place to goto is your report section in your SamCart dashboard.

Affiliate marketing, in simplest terms, is the act of promoting products or companies to earn a commission.

It’s one of the best forms of online marketing. SamCart is a platform that allows you to promote the product to others.

It all happens in the SamCart affiliate center. Sign up for your affiliate program before your affiliates are able to start promoting your products.

SamCart customers have an affiliate signup webpage where potential affiliates can sign up.

To access this page you will need to log in and navigate to the “AFFILIATES” tab in your menu bar.

Once the page is loaded, scroll down the page to locate the fields where affiliates can login and the area where they will sign up.

You’ll get something similar if you put the link to the signup page in your browser. However, it will be with your product name.

To promote your products and register as affiliates, click the link. After your affiliates have created an account, they will be notified that the registration was successful and that their application has been approved.

Once they have been approved, they will receive their login details Email, password and URL. From there, they can access the accounts and all they need to promote your products.

If you don’t wish to leave them pending, activate automatic approval through your Affiliate dashboard.

Scroll to the bottom of your affiliate dashboard to edit these settings. You’ll see a slide called “Auto Approval” that you can toggle off or on:

So instead of receiving email notifications that they’re application is pending approval, they’ll automatically be approved. They’ll receive their login details right away and will be automatically logged into their dashboard.

Here’s how your affiliates dashboards look after they login.

How long will you like someone who clicked on your affiliate links without purchasing the first time to be regarded as the affiliate referral when they eventually register?

You can ask, for example, that if I click on your link and go to your checkout page within 30 days to make a payment, will my referral status be maintained?

In your affiliate dashboard, scroll down to the point where you’ll find the Cookie Expiration option. Enter the number and duration of time you wish it to stay.

The following example shows that if someone clicks on an associate link and buys your product within 30 days, it will be recorded for your affiliates.

Log in to SamCart Dashboard and click on PRODUCTS

Click on the Advanced Settings and you’ll be provided with a box to paste your analytics code.

Multi-Language Support

How can you do this?

Log in to your dashboard, then navigate to your product section. Next, navigate to the Checkout Design Tab.

At the moment, multi-language templates are only available in the “World Wide” (or “One-Page Funnel”) templates.

Choose any of them from the template library:

Choose from the prefilled languages and once you’ve selected your preferred language, click on the Save button.

How can you make it work?

It is easy to set up.

Log in to SamCart Dashboard and navigate to the product page. Click on + Add Product. Remember to add important details from the tab:

Choose the Product Payment Frequency to determine how often customers will pay for your products. Weekly, Monthly or Quarterly. You can also choose a different frequency.

Open any product from the Products tab. The customize tab will open.

Click the CUSTOMIZE tab to activate the “Sales Letter Popup Template”.

After you’ve selected the Sales Letter Popup template make sure to save the settings.

Scroll down to edit the settings for Sales Letter Popup template.

Once you have all that set up, click in the top left corner to share the code.

It’s there. The code you should take to your website will look like this:

Copy this code and paste it on your product page. The popup will open when the button is clicked.
