Create an account

It is easy to create a SamCart Account. Log into SamCart.com to create an account.

The pricing page will redirect you to the plan selection page.

You’re not required to make any initial payment before trying it out. After clicking on any plan, you will be taken to checkout.

You won’t be charged for using the product during the 14-day trial period. And note that you can cancel your subscription within the 14-day of trial.

Once you place your order, you’ll be taken on a signup webpage.

You will then need to create your market. This form will look something like the one below.

Simply fill in the form. Then, click on “Create Marketplace” and you can get started.

Next, create a checkout page. Here is an example of how SamCart’s dashboard will look:

This is how you can create your checkout page in just 3 steps.

Step 1: Edit settings

You can click the Edit Settings button to open the page you wish to edit in a new tab. Don’t worry, you’ll be taken to that page automatically.

Let’s move on.

The Edit page is divided into 5 sections. You can edit many options in the General tab. These include your cart logo, your content URL parameters and more.

Let’s look at the fields you can edit:

i Marketplace Name. You can always change your Marketplace name.

You can edit it if it’s not correct.

Next, you will choose the default country for your checkout page. Your customers can change it at any time to their country of choice.

ii). Time Zone: You can now select the Time Zone your cart will be working with. Samcart Revenue

This is important since if you add a product expired date, your date/time and time will be calculated based off the timezone you specified. You can tell your customers the timezone you are using.

iii). Support Contact: In this field, you want to add your support contact email. Add an email address customers can reach you easily.

You can add any email of your choice. However, it’s better to add a business email address, for example, [email protected]

iv). Currency: Please note that after you register, you can’t change the currency. You can’t change the currency at this stage.

You can change the SamCart support number if you need to.

v Embed HTML/Scripts Field: If your tech skills are limited and you want to add HTML or JavaScript code onto your checkout page you can do so in the Embed HTML/Scripts section.

To make this work, there are no additional settings required. It should be able to work straight out the box. Samcart Revenue

vi You can also choose where you want your customers to go after they have completed their purchase. Do you want them to redirect to the original redirect URL or you want to display a summary page with redirect links It’s up to you.

You can also use the Redirect Link ButtonText to let your customers know what to do next.

They can be granted access to digital products, such as the product. You also allow them to join your premium area.

Once you have done all of this, you are good to go. However, If you want to configure your marketing analytics at once, you can go do so as well.

You don’t need to change the settings. You can customize the settings by changing the names of the fields as shown in the example.

Save these settings once you’re done editing them. The Save button can be found in the upper right corner of this page.

The next step is to move to the Integration tab. You will find a lot of integration options there.

It’s crucial to establish the integration before you start selling new products.

Let’s start with integrating our email autoresponder software. To add an email address service, click the + Add New button.

Choose the one that applies to you. Click on the icon if you’ve already signed up with AWeberor MailChimp to proceed with integration.

Let’s say that MailChimp was your preferred autoresponder for this example.

Select MailChimp from drop-down menu to edit integration details. Input your API key and add the integration label.

You can enter any name to your label. This will be what you use to identify the integration should you choose to. You can name it anything that is descriptive. MailChimp Integration is what I will name it. Samcart Revenue

Next, log into your MailChimp Account to obtain your API key. Go to Mailchimp.com and log in with your username and password.

After you log in successfully to your MailChimp account, navigate to the Extras menu. You’ll find API keys at the drop-down.

Click on the Create a Key button and the API key will be generated for you automatically. The API key will be generated automatically for you.

Copy it and paste it in your SamCart integration setup.

That’s it.

If you also want to integrate another platform, the process might be a bit different.

For example, to integrate with Aweber, you don’t have to go get your API key from your dashboard manually, the system just allows you to login and it completes the integration.

These are usually the two ways the integration processes always work, in many cases.

But if your product is a membership site, you might also want to integrate with a membership platform.

Scroll down to find the Membership link.

Click on + Add New.

This page will be displayed:

Click on Add Integration to select the membership platform you wish to use for your product.

I can now input the required information and click the Integration button. All the required information is in your dashboard. Log in to OptimizeMember’s dashboard to access them.

Next, customize your email settings. To access this functionality click on the Email tab Some of the settings you can edit include:

a Email Footer: You can edit the details of your footer that will appear in each email you send using your dashboard.

Once you click the button, a popup will appear for you to modify.

Next, create emails that remain consistent across all recipients for certain events. Samcart Revenue

If a customer has an order that is cancelled, it will be refunded.

b Emails Customizable

Click the Edit button to edit it.

What about when processes fail? These are the Dunning Emails, which you use to send emails to customers when processes fail.

You can edit your emails and add custom fields, if you want. In case you want to add some customized fields to your checkout page, here is where to do it in the CUSTOM FIELDS tab.

Custom Fields Click on the + Create New button to add a field.

A pop-up will appear.

Enter the name of your fields. Your customer will not see the internal name but the label for the checkout page will.

A list of items that appear when you click on the field. Understand that for a drop-down list, the customer can only choose one item.

A checkbox contains several items that a customer can choose from. The customer can decide to choose all of them or choose just one out of all of them.

However, this is only a one-item checkbox.

After you’re done, click Save.

You can add as many as you wish. However, long forms are not liked by customers. Your form shouldn’t be too long.

It’s likely they will abandon it. As I said, about 2/3 of all customers will abandon their shopping cart.

Do not add another reason why they might leave. Research shows that 27% of shoppers abandon shopping carts due to it being too complicated or long. Samcart Revenue

Keep it simple.

Enter their email address and click on “Add New”. Your request will be accepted by them via email. Once they accept the request, they should also be able register as an administrator.

The setup is complete.

Step 2 Connect a Processor

If you have not been following this tutorial, please go back and open the previous tab. Connect a payment processor so you can receive payments. Click on “Add Payment Processor”

You will then be taken to Settings again. Here you will find the Payment Integration option.

To add a Payment Processor, click the big ADDNE button or +Add New Button at the top of the page.

SamCart currently integrates with Stripe, Paypal, and Stripe as of the time this writing.

When you click on the Create New tab, a page with this information will pop up:

Click on Stripe, or Paypal. Clicking on Stripe will bring up a page for you to log in.

Fill in the form and you should be ready to go. You must ensure that Stripe accepts payments from your country.

If you decide to add the two payment options for your customers, that’ll be nice. Customers can choose which payment processor they prefer.

Let’s now move on to the next step.

Step 3: Create a Product

Now return to your dashboard. Now you will be taken to the Payment processor page. Here’s the fun part: click on the Add first Product Button.

You should now see the page below after you have clicked on the button.

Click the button “+New Product”

This page will show up for you to add new product information. Enter the product name and price. Also, choose whether you want a one-time or recurring payment.

An ebook product will be a one-time payment product. However, an online course or membership will require a recurring payment option.

After you have added the product information, it is possible that you will need to provide additional information on the next page.

As you can see, there are additional settings you can choose to complete your check-out.

Let’s begin with the product image. Upload your product image. The image that will show up like this one one SamCart checkout page:

You can enter the URL of the webpage your customers will visit when they make their purchase from your checkout page. Most people will have a page like yourdomain.com/thankyou.html Next enter the product type are you selling a digital product or physical product?

You can upload the product immediately if it is a digital one. If it isn’t a digital product, however, you can ignore that option. Samcart Revenue

Finally, at this stage, you can enable coupon codes if your plan is to use coupons as marketing tools.

When you enable it, people will be able add coupons to your product to get a discount.

Click on the Add New Coupon button. A popup window will open with the following information.

You can generate more customers by using coupon codes. Discounts are a favorite with customers. Just think, some customers will buy things they don’t need because it’s cheap.

They will say it may become too expensive later on, when they might be in need and don’t have the cash.

So they will likely buy. Marketing with coupon codes is a great strategy. Samcart Revenue

Complete the coupon setup: Pick a code for your coupon, and select whether it is a one time coupon or a regular coupon. Select the option that best describes your product or service.

You can add a coupon at no additional cost.

Let’s move on to the checkout pages design.

Click on Checkout Design to open a selection of over 18 templates. You can choose the one that best suits your brand.

Scroll down to personalize the design. There are many settings that you can modify to make the design more consistent with your brand’s voice.

You can start by customizing the colors.

You can either choose from pre-defined color codes, or you can create your own. It also has a color selector, so you can choose the color you desire without worrying about the color codes.

You can change the color of the header, footer, background, headline, and your buttons color.

Next, add some fields. You can check the fields that you wish to make active on your checkout pages.

You can move on to the next settings your product’s guarantee settings. What guarantee are your customers getting? Is your guarantee a 30-day guarantee or a money-back guarantee? Samcart Revenue

You can add that setting here. SamCart was designed with conversion in mind, as I said earlier. All of these features are features that encourage conversion.

Once everything is set up, you can start adding your terms & conditions. You can now turn it in.

In the case where you turn it on, a customer must agree to your terms and conditions before they’ll be able to buy your product.

Remember to include a URL that points to your Terms and Conditions content.

The link will be at the bottom of the page with the hyperlink “Terms and Condition.” Next, you want to add the payment processor for your checkout page. You don’t have to repeat the steps from step 2 again.

Just click on the Payments tab and turn the Payment options that are active on.

In my case, only PayPal is active because I’ve only integrated PayPal for this review. Samcart Revenue

But, Stripe can be activated if you have it integrated.

You can add a secondary payment processor as well. This is specifically for those merchants who want to add an alternative secondary product. Select an item by clicking on the dropdown menu. Samcart Revenue

Add an upsell product. To edit the upsell option, click on the Upsell tab. Here’s an example of what your upsell product might look like.

It should be something that your customers can add in their shopping cart to go with the product.

Edit your Upsells by clicking on the UpSells Tab and editing it. You must add a product. Click and then add the product.

You can also include an upsell channel if you’ve already created it. Later in this article, we’ll discuss the upsell funnel.

Next, let’s take a look at the next step in the process of creating our product checkout page and that’s integration.

Click on the Integration tab:

You’ll be able to see our MailChimp integration in the drop down list.

The drop-down menu lets you choose which customer list you wish to add after a purchase, refund or to remove after purchase.

After you have completed the form, save and enable the settings.

Log in and click on “REPORTS” to open a drop-down menu. This will display a variety of reports including sales reports, sales by product and subscriptions.

And once the page is fully loaded, scroll down the page until you find the fields where your affiliates will login and a place where they’ll sign up.

If you link to the signup page from the browser, it’ll look something like this. But with your productname.

To promote your products and register as affiliates, click the link. Once your affiliates register, they’ll be notified about a successful registration. Also, their application is pending approval.

Once they have been approved they will receive their login credentials Email, password, login URL. This allows them to access their accounts, as well as everything else they need, in order to promote your products.

You can also activate automatic approval via your Affiliate dashboard, even if they are still pending.

Scroll to the bottom of your affiliate dashboard to edit these settings. You’ll see a slide called “Auto Approval” that you can toggle off or on:

Instead of receiving email notifications about their application being pending approval (which they might be), they will be approved automatically. They will immediately receive their login information and be logged in to the dashboard.

How long will you like someone who clicked on your affiliate links without purchasing the first time to be regarded as the affiliate referral when they eventually register?

You can ask, for example, that if I click on your link and go to your checkout page within 30 days to make a payment, will my referral status be maintained?

You can also modify these settings:

In your affiliate dashboard, scroll down to the point where you’ll find the Cookie Expiration option. You can set the time it should last.

As an example, if someone clicks an affiliate link, and they purchase your product within 30 calendar days, the transaction will be recorded for your associates.

Once you have all that set up, click in the top left corner to share the code.

You have it. This is the code that you need to add to your website:
