Create an account

It’s very easy to create an SamCart account. Log in to SamCart.com. Click on the obvious “Try it Free” button.

You’ll be taken to the pricing page. Here you can choose which plan you would like to try.

Before you can try it, you don’t need to make an initial payment. You’ll be taken directly to the checkout page after you click on one of the plans.

During the 14 day trial, the product will not be charged to your credit card. You have 14 days to cancel your subscription.

Once you complete the order you’ll be taken to a signup page.

Next, you’ll need to create a marketplace. A form similar to the one shown below will appear.

Fill out the form and once you’re done, click “Create Marketplace” to get started.

Next is creating a checkout webpage. This is how your SamCart dashboard should look.

You can see how easy it is to create your checkout webpage.

Step 1: Modify Settings

You can click the Edit Settings button to open the page you wish to edit in a new tab. Don’t worry, you’ll be taken to that page automatically.

Let’s take it step by step.

The Edit page is broken into five sections. In the General tab, you can edit quite a wide range of options from your cart logo to your content URL parameters.

Let’s take a look at what you can do in these fields.

i). Marketplace Name: The Marketplace name is something you can always change, remember you added it in your signup process, right?

If you feel it wasn’t correct, you can still make changes to it.

Next, you will choose the default country for your checkout page. Your customers can change it at any time to their country of choice.

ii). Time Zone: Now, you can select which Time Zone your cart should be using. Samcart Pro

This is important because if you add a product expiry date, your date and time will be counting based on the time zone you specified and you can let your customers know the time zone you’re using.

iii). Support Contact: In this field, you want to add your support contact email. Add an email customers can contact you with easily.

Any email can be added. However, it’s better to add a business email address, for example, [email protected]

iv). Currency: You can’t change your currency once you have registered it. You cannot change your currency after registration.

If you wish to make any changes to it, contact the SamCart support team.

v Embed HTML/Scripts box: If you are a bit more tech-savvy, and want to add any HTML/JavaScript code into your checkout page’s pages, you can put your code in this Embed HTML/Scripts box.

To make this work, there are no additional settings required. It should be able to work straight out the box. Samcart Pro

vi You can also choose where you want your customers to go after they have completed their purchase. The choice of whether they want to be redirected to the original redirect URL, or displayed a summary page containing redirect links is up to them.

You can also use the Redirect Link ButtonText to let your customers know what to do next.

For example, they can gain access to your product, download the digital product that they have purchased, and join your premium section.

Once you’ve done this, you should be okay and ready to go. But if you need to quickly configure your marketing analytics, you can do this as well.

The settings can be left as they are. You don’t have to make any changes. If you prefer a custom setting, you can modify the fields using any name you like following the example.

Once you’re finished editing these settings please save them. The Save button is located at the top-right corner of the page.

Next, move to Integration menu tab. There is a wide range of integration options.

You should set up the integration as soon as possible so that it is not necessary to do this each time you sell a new product.

Let’s begin by integrating our email-autoresponder software. To add an email service, click on the +Add New button.

Pick the one that best suits you. If you’ve signed up with AWeberor MailChimp, you can click on it and follow the instructions for integration.

Let’s assume that MailChimp is your autoresponder of choice for this example.

If you choose MailChimp from the drop-down menu, edit the integration details. Input your API key and add the integration label.

You can enter any name to your label. This is what you will use to identify the integration if you choose to use it. So name it something that’ll be a bit descriptitive. MailChimp Integration, I will call mine. Samcart Pro

Then log into your MailChimp account to get your API key. Go to Mailchimp.com and log in with your username and password.

After you login successfully to MailChimp, navigate the Extras menu. API keys will be found in the drop down list.

Click on the Create Key button, and an API key will automatically be generated. You don’t have to do anything else.

Copy the code and paste it into your SamCart integration configuration.

This is all there is to it.

If you also want to integrate another platform, the process might be a bit different.

You don’t even have to go to your dashboard in order to obtain your API Key. Aweber will automatically log you in to complete your integration.

These are usually the two ways the integration processes always work, in many cases.

You might want to integrate your product with a membership website if it is.

Scroll down the integration page to locate the Membership link.

Click on + Add New.

And here’s the page:

Click on Add Integration and choose the membership platform that you would like to use with your product.

I can now input the required information and click the Integration button. All of the necessary information can be found in your dashboard. Log in to OptimizeMember Dashboard to view them.

Next, you will be able to customize your email settings. To access this functionality click on the Email tab Some of the settings you can edit include:

a Email Footer: This is where you can edit and change the footer information that will appear in every email sent from your dashboard.

After clicking it, a popup window will open for you to edit.

Next, you need to create emails that will always remain the same for every customer for certain events. Samcart Pro

If a customer has an order that is cancelled, it will be refunded.

b Emails with customisable content

To make changes, click the Edit button.

What about when processes go sour? Here are Dunning Emails. These emails are for customers who experience failure in processes.

c Emails to Dupes

When you are done editing your emails, you can go ahead to add some custom fields if you like. If you would like to add custom fields to your checkout page please click the CUSTOM FIELD tab.

Custom Fields To create a new field, click the + Create button

A pop-up will appear.

Please enter the names of the fields that you wish to add. The customer won’t see the internal field name, but the check-out page label will.

You will see a list with all the items you have selected when you click on it. A drop-down list allows the customer to choose only one item.

A checkbox will have several options that a user has the option to choose from. Customers have the option to choose from all of them (or just one)

This is a single-item checkbox.

After you have finished, click on Save.

As many as possible can be added. You should be aware that customers dislike long forms. Your form shouldn’t be too long.

They will most likely abandon the cart. As I mentioned earlier, two thirds of customers abandon their shopping cart.

You shouldn’t give customers another reason to abandon your site. According to the research, 27% of respondents said that they abandon shopping carts because they are too complicated and long. Samcart Pro

Please, keep it simple.

Just enter their email address in the Enter email field and click on Add New. They’ll receive an email to accept your request. They will receive an email to accept your request. Once that happens, they will also be able log in as an administrator.

This completes Step 1 of the setup process.

Next, let us move on to step 2:

Step 2 – Connect a processor

If you’ve been following this tutorial, you can go back to the first tab. At this point, you want to connect a payment processor to enable you to receive payments. Click the Add Payment Processor button.

You’ll be taken to the Settings once again and in the integration tab. Where you can find the payment integration option.

To add a payment processing processor, click the big ADD NEW button in the top right corner.

As of the time of this writing, SamCart integrates with two payment processors Paypal and Stripe.

Click on the Create New button to open a new page.

Click on Stripe and Paypal. You can login to Stripe by clicking on Stripe if you click Stripe.

The form is easy to fill out. You must ensure that Stripe accepts payments from your country.

You can add both payment options for customers if you choose. Customers can choose their preferred payment payment processor.

Next, let’s move to the next step:

Step 3: Create a Product

Now return to your dashboard. Return to your dashboard. The most exciting part is here: Click on the Add First Product button.

Click that button and you’ll see the following page.

Click the button “+New Product”

This page is available to you for adding new product information. Enter the name, price, and description of your product. You can also choose whether it will be a one-time payment or recurring.

A product such as an ebook will likely only be available for one-time payments. However, a product such a membership or online course will likely require a recurring option.

You might need additional information after you’ve added product information.

The settings are located at the top of the menu.

Let’s start from the product image. Upload your product image. The image that will show up like this one one SamCart checkout page:

Enter a webpage address your customers will be taken to when they complete their purchase on your checkout page. Most people will have a page like yourdomain.com/thankyou.html Next enter the product type are you selling a digital product or physical product?

If it is a digital product you can upload it immediately. You can ignore this option if the product is not digital. Samcart Pro

Final note: If you are going to use coupon codes for marketing purposes, you can enable this option.

You can enable it to allow people to use coupons to purchase your product at a reduced price.

Click on the Add New Coupon button. A popup window will open with the following information.

Coupon codes are a great way for businesses to get more customers. Discounts are very popular with customers.

They might say that it could become very expensive in the future and they may not have the money to purchase it at the time.

This will make them more likely to want to buy. Marketing with coupon codes is a great strategy. Samcart Pro

To complete the coupon codes setup, select a code and choose whether the coupon will be valid for a single time or a recurring code. Choose the one that best describes what your customer wants.

It is entirely optional to add a coupon.

Let’s now get to the checkout page design.

Click on the Checkout Design tab and then select from more than 18 templates at the time of writing. You can choose any one of them that suits your brand.

Scroll down to modify the design. You can customize the settings to fit your brand’s voice.

Start by customizing colors.

You can either choose from pre-defined color codes, or you can create your own. The best thing about it is that you can use the color picker to choose the color you want, without having to worry about the code.

You can change the color of the header, footer, background, headline, and your buttons color.

Next, you’ll need to add some fields, including custom fields. If you remember the “school”, we can also add this to your product page. Make sure you check all fields that should be visible on your checkout page.

The next setting can be used to adjust the guarantee settings for your product. What guarantee are you giving your customers? Are you offering a 30 days money back guarantee? Samcart Pro

You can add this setting here. SamCart, like I mentioned earlier, is designed to encourage conversion. All of these features are features that encourage conversion.

You can use the +Add Bullet button to add more points as bullet points to your Checkout page.

Once that is complete, you are ready to add your terms. Now, turn it on.

If you decide to turn it on, the customer must agree with your terms and conditions before purchasing your product.

Have in mind that you’ll provide a URL where your terms and condition content is hosted.

The link is located at bottom of the page. It will include the hyperlink “Terms, Conditions”. Next you will need to add payment processors for your checkout page. You don’t have to repeat the steps from step 2 again.

Simply click on the Payments tab, and you can turn on all active Payment options.

Only PayPal is active in my case because I have only integrated PayPal to this review. Samcart Pro

But, Stripe can be activated if you have it integrated.

You can add a secondary payment processor as well. This option is for merchants who wish to add a secondary product. Select an item from the drop-down list by clicking on it. Samcart Pro

Add an upsell product. Click on the Upsell tab to edit the upsell option. Here is an example showing how your upsell products will look:

It should be a product your customers add to their cart to complement the product.

Click on the UpSells tab to edit your Upsells. To add a product, you will need to have created it just as we did for the belly fat product. Simply click to add it.

If you’ve created an upsell funnel, you can add it here too. In this article, we will talk about upsell funnels.

Next, let’s take a look at the next step in the process of creating our product checkout page and that’s integration.

Click on Integration tab

You will notice that the MailChimp integration appears in our drop-down list.

Select from the drop-down menu to choose which customers you would like to add to your list after a refund or purchase. You can also remove them from your list after purchase or refund.

This will allow you to segment your customer base to send the best marketing emails at the right times to them. Samcart Pro

You will also see that there is no membership integration.

But, if your product has a membership requirement, you need to integrate your member portal using the method that we previously discussed.

The Advanced section is the last section.

This is the place to go if you are a rockstar and wish to add custom scripts to personalize your checkout page. You can add HTML code or scripts in your checkout page header.

Once you are done filling out your form, enable the settings and save them.

Log in to your dashboard to access this page. Navigate to the AFFILIATES section in the menu bar.

Once the page has loaded completely, scroll down until you see the fields that your affiliates will log in and the place they’ll sign-up.

If you link to the signup page from the browser, it’ll look something like this. But with your productname.

To promote your products, affiliates can sign up with this link. After your affiliates have created an account, they will be notified that the registration was successful and that their application has been approved.

Once approved, they’ll receive their login information Email, password, URL, where they can access and promote your products.

If you don’t wish to leave them pending, activate automatic approval through your Affiliate dashboard.

Scroll to the bottom on your affiliate dashboard and find Auto Approval. This slide can be toggled on or off.

Instead of getting email notifications that their application was pending approval, applicants will automatically be approved. They will receive their login details immediately. Once they log in to their dashboard, they’ll automatically be approved.

How long can you stand it when someone clicks on your affiliate links and doesn’t make a purchase?

Can I, for instance, click on your affiliate hyperlink and then go back to your checkout page after 30 day and make a sale?

This setting can be modified as well:

Scroll down on your affiliate dashboard to find the Cookie Expiration button. You can set the time it should last.
