Create an account

It is very simple to create a SamCart. Log into the website SamCart.com and click on the obvious ‘TRY IT FREE’ button.

You’ll be redirected to the pricing page where you can choose the plan you want to try.

You’re not required to make any initial payment before trying it out. Click on any of these plans to be taken the checkout page.

During the 14-day trial, you won’t have to pay anything for the product. And note that you can cancel your subscription within the 14-day of trial.

Once you’ve completed the order, you’ll go to a page where you can sign up.

Next, you’ll need to create a marketplace. Below is an example of the form you’ll find.

Please fill out this form. Once you’re done click “Create Marketplace”.

Step 1 Edit Settings

Click on the Edit settings button, and the page you want to edit will be displayed in a brand new tab. It won’t take long for you to be taken directly to that page.

Let’s continue to go step by step.

The Edit page can be divided into five sections. In the General tab, you can edit quite a wide range of options from your cart logo to your content URL parameters.

Let’s find out what we can do with these fields.

i). Marketplace Name. You can always change your Marketplace name.

You can edit it if it’s not correct.

Then, you can choose which country will appear as the default for your checkout page. Of course, customers can always change it to another country.

ii). Time Zone: Now you can choose the Time Zone that your cart will work with. Samcart Plus

This is important, because if your product expiry dates are added, the date and time of your products will be counted based upon the time zone specified. Customers can then know which time zone your company uses.

iii). Support Contact: In this field, you want to add your support contact email. You can add an email address that customers can easily contact you.

Any email address can be added. However, it’s better to add a business email address, for example, [email protected]

iv). Currency: Please note that after you register, you can’t change the currency. You can’t change the currency at this stage.

However, if you want to change it, you should be able to do that by contacting the SamCart support team.

v). Embed HTML/Scripts fields: If you have some technical knowledge and wish to add HTML/JavaScript code to your checkout pages, you can fill in the Embed HTML/Scripts fields.

It doesn’t require any additional settings to make it work. It should just work out of the box. Samcart Plus

vi Purchase completion: In this field, you want to select where your users will be taken to after making a purchase. You can choose whether you want your users to go to the original URL or display a summary page with links.

You can also use the Redirect Link ButtonText to let your customers know what to do next.

For example, they can gain access to your product, download the digital product that they have purchased, and join your premium section.

After you have completed this step, you will be ready to go. However, If you want to configure your marketing analytics at once, you can go do so as well.

The settings can be left as they are. You don’t have to make any changes. You can change the settings to suit your needs by following the example.

Once you’re finished editing these settings please save them. The Save button can be found in the upper right corner of this page.

You can then move on to the Integration menu tab. There are many integration options available there.

You should set up the integration as soon as possible so that it is not necessary to do this each time you sell a new product.

Let’s get started with the integration of our email autoresponder software. To add an email service, click on the +Add New button.

Choose the one that applies to you. After you have signed up with AWeberor MailChimp you will be able to click on it and then follow the instructions for integration.

Let’s assume that MailChimp is your autoresponder of choice for this example.

Select MailChimp from drop-down menu to edit integration details. You will need to add an integration label and enter your API code.

You can enter any name to your label. That’s what you’ll use to identify this integration in case you want to use it. Name it something descriptive. MailChimp Integration will be my name. Samcart Plus

You will then need to log in to your MailChimp email account in order for your API key. Log into Mailchimp.com by entering your username & password.

After you login successfully to MailChimp, navigate the Extras menu. API keys will be found in the drop down list.

Click the Create a Key button. The API key will be generated automatically. There is nothing else you need to do.

Copy it and paste into your SamCart integration setup.

And that’s it.

You might also need to integrate another platform. This process could be slightly different.

For example, to integrate with Aweber, you don’t have to go get your API key from your dashboard manually, the system just allows you to login and it completes the integration.

These are often the two most common ways in which integration processes work in many situations.

If your product is a subscription site, you may also wish to integrate with a platform for members.

Scroll down to the bottom of the page until you see the Membership link.

Click the + Add New button.

This page will be displayed:

Click on Add Integration after you have selected the membership platform to be used for your product.

I can now input the required information and click the Integration button. Your dashboard contains all the information you need. Log in to OptimizeMember Dashboard to view them.

Next, customize the email settings. To access this functionality, click on the Email Tab.

a Email Footer: This is where you can edit and change the footer information that will appear in every email sent from your dashboard.

Once you click it, a popup box will show up for you to edit.

Next, you will need to create emails which are the same for each customer for certain events. Samcart Plus

If a customer has an order that is cancelled, it will be refunded.

b). Emails customizable:

Click the Edit button to edit it.

What about when processes fail? These are where you will set the email messages that customers receive when processes fail.

c Dunning Emails

After you’re done editing your email, you can add custom fields if desired. If you would like to add custom fields to your checkout page please click the CUSTOM FIELD tab.

Custom Fields: Click on the + Add New button to create a new field.

A pop-up will be displayed.

Enter the names of fields you wish to add. While the customer won’t see the inner field name, the customer’s check out page label will show it as the field title.

A list of items that appear when you click on the field. Understand that for a drop-down list, the customer can only choose one item.

A checkbox will contain several items that a user can choose from. Customers can choose to pick all or one of the items in a checkbox.

This is a single-item checkbox.

Click Save when you are done.

You can add as many as you wish. You should be aware that customers dislike long forms. Be brief.

It’s likely they will abandon it. As I have said before, 2/3 of customers will abandon shopping carts.

Do not add another reason why they might leave. Research shows that 27% of shoppers abandon shopping carts due to it being too complicated or long. Samcart Plus

Please keep it simple.

Simply enter their email address into the Enter email field, and then click on Add New. You will receive an email inviting them to accept your request. After they accept your request, they will be able login as administrator.

Now you are done with Step 1.

Next, let’s move on to Step 2

Step 2: Connect a Processor

Go back to the previous tab if you’ve been following this tutorial. At this point, you want to connect a payment processor to enable you to receive payments. Click the Add Payment Processor button.

The Settings tab will open again. There you’ll find the payment integration choice.

Click on the big ADD New button or the +Add new Button in the upper right corner of the page to add a payment processor.

SamCart is currently integrated with Stripe and Paypal as payment processors.

Click on the Create New button to open a new page.

Click on Stripe, or Paypal. Clicking on Stripe will bring up a page for you to log in.

Fill in the form and you should be ready to go. You must ensure that Stripe accepts payments from your country.

If you are able to include both payment options for your customers that would be nice. Customers can choose their preferred payment payment processor.

Next, let’s move to the next step:

Step 3: Create a Product

Now, return to your dashboard. The Payment processor page will redirect you from your dashboard. This is the exciting part.

You should now see the page below after you have clicked on the button.

Click on “+New Product”.

This page allows you to update product information. Enter the product name and price. And also choose if it’s going to be a one time payment or recurring payment.

A product like an ebook will most likely be a one time payment type of product, however, a product such as a membership or an online course will most likely require a recurring payment option.

Once you add the product information, you might need to add more information in the next page that’ll show up.

You can see that at the top menu, they’re other settings you can make to complete your check out.

Let’s begin with the product image. Upload your product image. This image will appear on the SamCart checkout page.

When your customers complete their order on your checkout page, enter a URL address. Most people will have a page like yourdomain.com/thankyou.html Next enter the product type are you selling a digital product or physical product?

If the product is digital you can upload it instantly. If it isn’t a digital product, however, you can ignore that option. Samcart Plus

You can also enable the coupon code option for this stage if you plan to use coupons in marketing.

You can enable it to allow people to use coupons to purchase your product at a reduced price.

Click on “Add New Coupon” to open a pop-up with the following details:

Promo codes can be a great way of generating more customers for your company. Discounts are a favorite with customers. Just think, some customers will buy things they don’t need because it’s cheap.

They’ll tell you that it might get very expensive in future, and they might not have enough money at that time.

This will make them more likely to want to buy. Coupon code marketing is a fantastic strategy. Samcart Plus

Complete the coupon setup: Pick a code for your coupon, and select whether it is a one time coupon or a regular coupon. Choose the option that best describes the product you are offering your customers.

You can add a coupon at no additional cost.

Now let’s move to the checkout page design:

Click on Checkout Design to open a selection of over 18 templates. You can choose any one of them that suits your brand.

Scroll down for more options. You can customize the settings to fit your brand’s voice.

Begin by customizing your colors.

You can either choose from pre-defined color codes, or you can create your own. The best part is that it has a color picker, you can use this color picker to select the color you want without bothering about the color codes.

You can change the color of the header, footer, background, headline, and your buttons color.

Next, you want to add some fields including your custom fields remember the “school” field we created previously, we can also add it here to your product page. Make sure you check all fields that should be visible on your checkout page.

You can now move to the next settings in your product guarantee settings. What guarantee are you giving your customers? Are you offering a guarantee of 30 days? Samcart Plus

You can add that setting here. Like I told you initially, SamCart is developed with conversion in mind. These features encourage conversion.

You can use the +Add Bullet button to add more points as bullet points to your Checkout page.

Once you set that up completely, you can now move to adding your terms and conditions. Turn on.

If you decide to turn it on, the customer must agree with your terms and conditions before purchasing your product.

Have in mind that you’ll provide a URL where your terms and condition content is hosted.

This link will appear at the bottom on the page. Next, you need to add the payment processor. Do not worry about repeating the steps in step 2.

Click on the payment tab to switch the active payment options.

Since I have integrated PayPal only for this review, PayPal is only active in my instance. Samcart Plus

But if you’ve integrated Stripe, you’ll find it active and you can turn it on as well.

You can also add another payment processor. This is specifically for those merchants who want to add an alternative secondary product. To select an item, click on the drop-down menu. Samcart Plus

You would like to add an extra product. Click on “Upsell” to edit the upsell options. Here is an example showing how your upsell products will look:

This should be something your customers are able to add to their shopping carts to complement the product they have purchased.

To edit your Upsells, click on the UpSells tab and edit it. To add a product, you will need to have created it just as we did for the belly fat product. Simply click to add it.

It’s possible to add upsell funnels here if you have created one. Later in this article, we’ll discuss the upsell funnel.

Let’s move on to the next part of the process, which is creating our product checkout pages and then integrating them.

Click on Integration tab

You’ll see that our MailChimp Integration is appearing in the dropdown list.

The drop-down menu lets you choose which customer list you wish to add after a purchase, refund or to remove after purchase.

Scroll to the bottom on your affiliate dashboard and find Auto Approval. This slide can be toggled on or off.

Instead of getting email notifications that their application was pending approval, applicants will automatically be approved. They’ll receive their login details right away and will be automatically logged into their dashboard.
