Create an account

It is very simple to create a SamCart. Log into the website SamCart.com and click on the obvious ‘TRY IT FREE’ button.

You’ll be redirected to the pricing page where you can choose the plan you want to try.

It’s not necessary to pay an initial payment in order to try it. You’ll be taken directly to the checkout page after you click on one of the plans.

During the 14 days of the trial period, you will not be charged for the product. And note that you can cancel your subscription within the 14-day of trial.

Once you complete the order you’ll be taken to a signup page.

Next, you’ll need to create a marketplace. You’ll see a form like the one below.

Please fill out this form. Once you’re done click “Create Marketplace”.

Next, create a checkout page. This is how your SamCart dashboard should look.

As you can see, it takes only three steps to create your checkout pages.

Step 1 – Edit Settings

You can click the Edit Settings button to open the page you wish to edit in a new tab. It won’t take long for you to be taken directly to that page.

Let’s take it step by step.

The Edit page is divided in five sections. The General tab lets you edit a range of options, from your cart logo to the parameters of your content URL.

Let’s take a look at what you can do in these fields.

i Marketplace Name. The Marketplace name can be changed at any time.

If you feel it wasn’t correct, you can still make changes to it.

You can then choose a country that will be displayed as default on your checkout page. Customers can also change this to any country they wish.

This is important because, if you include a product expiry day, your date/time will be calculated based on your time zone. You can inform your customers about the time zone.

iii). Support Contact: You will need to enter your support contact email in this field. Add an email address so customers can easily reach you.

You can add any email of your choice. However, it’s better to add a business email address, for example, [email protected]

iv). Currency: Once you’ve registered your currency, it’s important to remember that you cannot change it. You can’t change the currency at this stage.

v). Embed HTML/Scripts: If you’re a bit tech-savvy and would like to add HTML or JavaScript code on your checkout page, then you can use the Embed HTML/Scripts area.

vi Complete purchase: Here you can select the destination your users will go to after making a purchase. Do you want them to redirect to the original redirect URL or you want to display a summary page with redirect links It’s up to you.

The Redirect Link Button text allows you to tell your customers what to do next by using a call-to-action button.

For example, they can gain access to your product, download the digital product that they have purchased, and join your premium section.

Once you’ve done this, you should be okay and ready to go. But if you need to quickly configure your marketing analytics, you can do this as well.

You don’t need to change the settings. However, if you wish to create a custom setting, just follow the steps above and replace the names in the fields.

After you are done editing the settings, please save them. The Save button is at the top right corner of the page.

You can then move on to the Integration menu tab. There are many integration options available there.

It’s important that you set up the integration now so you don’t have to create it each time you want to sell a new product.

Let’s begin with integrating our autoresponder email software. To add an email address service, click the + Add New button.

Select the one that is most applicable to you. Once you have registered with AWeberor MailChimp click on it to follow the instructions.

Let’s just assume MailChimp as your autoresponder.

Edit the integration details if MailChimp is selected from the drop-down menu. Input your API key and add the integration label.

Your label can be given any name you want. That’s what you’ll use to identify this integration in case you want to use it. You can name it anything that is descriptive. I’ll name mine MailChimp Integration. Samcart Payment Gateways

Next, log into your MailChimp Account to obtain your API key. Log in with your username/password to Mailchimp.com

After you log in successfully to your MailChimp account, navigate to the Extras menu. You’ll find API keys at the drop-down.

Click on the Create a Key button and the API key will be generated for you automatically. The API key will be generated automatically for you.

Copy the code and paste it into your SamCart integration configuration.

That’s all there is.

It might take a little longer if you are also looking to integrate another platform.

For example, to integrate with Aweber, you don’t have to go get your API key from your dashboard manually, the system just allows you to login and it completes the integration.

These are two common ways that integration processes work in many cases.

A membership site is one example of a product you might consider integrating with.

Scroll down the integration page to locate the Membership link.

Click on the +Add New button.

The page will then appear as follows:

Click on Add Integration to select the membership platform you wish to use for your product.

I can now input the required information and click the Integration button. Your dashboard contains all the information you need. Log into OptimizeMember to see them.

Next, you can customize your email settings. To access this functionality, click on the Email Tab.

a). Email Footer: Here you can edit the footer details that will appear in every email you send from your dashboard, either automatically or manually.

After clicking it, a popup window will open for you to edit.

If a customer has an order that is cancelled, it will be refunded.

Click on the Edit button and edit it.

What about when processes break down? These are the Dunning Emails, which you use to send emails to customers when processes fail.

Once you are done editing emails, you can add any custom fields you wish. Here’s where you can add custom fields to the checkout page.

A pop up will show up.

Enter the name of your fields. Your customer will not see the internal name but the label for the checkout page will.

You will see a list with all the items you have selected when you click on it. A drop-down list allows the customer to choose only one item.

A checkbox can contain multiple items that the user can choose from. Customers can choose to pick all or one of the items in a checkbox.

It is a checkbox for one item.

After you’re done, click Save.

You can add as much as you want. I warn you that customers don’t like long forms. Your form shouldn’t be too long.

They will most likely abandon the cart. Like I stated earlier, 2 out of 3 customers will abandon their shopping cart.

Add another reason for them not to return. According to the research, 27% of respondents said that they abandon shopping carts because they are too complicated and long. Samcart Payment Gateways

Keep it simple.

Enter their email address below and click Add New. Once they accept your request, you will be sent an email. Once they accept the request, they should also be able register as an administrator.

Now you are done with Step 1.

Step 2: Connect a Processor

If you’ve been following the tutorial closely, go back into the previous tab. You will need to connect a processor in order to receive payments. Click on “Add Payment Processor”

The Settings tab will open again. Where you can find the payment integration option.

To add a processor to your payment page, click on either the +Add New Button or the ADD NEW BUTTON in the top-right corner.

SamCart has integrated with Stripe (PayPal) and Paypal (as of the writing of this article).

Once you click on the Create New button, a page will pop up showing this:

Click on Stripe and Paypal. If you click on Stripe, this page will show up for you to login your credentials.

Once you have completed the form, you will be able to start your journey. Check to make sure that your country appears on Stripe payment acceptance lists.

If you’re willing to offer two payment options to customers, it will be a nice touch. Customers can choose which payment processor they prefer.

Let’s go on to the next stage:

Step 3: Create A Product

Now go back to your dashboard. The Payment processor page will redirect you from your dashboard. Here’s the fun part: click on the Add first Product Button.

Click on this button to open the next page

Click on the +New Product button.

This page is available to you for adding new product information. Enter the product name and price. Also, choose whether you want a one-time or recurring payment.

A product such an ebook will typically be a one-time purchase type. However, a product like a membership, or an online course, will likely require a regular payment option.

Once you have entered the product information you may need to update the next page.

The settings are located at the top of the menu.

Let’s begin by uploading the product photo. Upload your product image. The image that will show up like this one one SamCart checkout page:

When your customers complete their order on your checkout page, enter a URL address. Most people will have a page like yourdomain.com/thankyou.html Next enter the product type are you selling a digital product or physical product?

You can upload the product immediately if it is a digital one. But, if you don’t have a digital product to upload, you can ignore it. Samcart Payment Gateways

Finally, at this stage, you can enable coupon codes if your plan is to use coupons as marketing tools.

Once you enable it, you’ll be able to add coupons people can use to buy your product at a discounted price.

Click on the Add New Coupon button. A popup window will open with the following information.

Promo codes can be a great way of generating more customers for your company. Discounts are very popular with customers.

They’ll admit that it might become expensive later and may not be able to afford it.

Complete the coupon code setup: Choose a code for your coupon code, set the duration will it be a one-time coupon or a recurring coupon code? Choose the one that best describes what your customer wants.

Let’s get to the checkout page design now:

Click on the Checkout Design tab, then choose from over 18 templates as of the time of this writing. Any of the templates you like can be selected.

Scroll down to personalize the design. There are many settings that you can modify to make the design more consistent with your brand’s voice.

Start by customizing the colors.

You can choose the predefined color codes or create your own colors. It has a colour picker that allows you to pick the color you wish without having to remember the color codes.

You can change the color of the header, footer, background, headline, and your buttons color.

Next, you’ll need to add some fields, including custom fields. If you remember the “school”, we can also add this to your product page. You can check the fields that you wish to make active on your checkout pages.

The next setting can be used to adjust the guarantee settings for your product. What guarantee are they offering your customers Are you offering a 30-day money back guarantee? Samcart Payment Gateways

This setting can be added to the site. SamCart was built with conversions in mind. These features all encourage conversion.

To add more bullet points on your Checkout page, you can use the +Add Bolt button.

Once you set that up completely, you can now move to adding your terms and conditions. You can now turn it in.

In the case where you turn it on, a customer must agree to your terms and conditions before they’ll be able to buy your product.

Remember that you will provide a URL to where your terms & conditions content is hosted.

The link will be located at the bottom with the hyperlink “Terms And Conditions”. Next, you’ll need to add your payment processor for the checkout page. Don’t worry, you won’t need to go through the steps you went through in step two again.

Just click on the Payments tab and turn the Payment options that are active on.

You can activate Stripe if Stripe has already been integrated.

You can also add another payment processor. This is a feature that merchants can use to add an alternate product. Click on the drop-down menu to select an item. Samcart Payment Gateways

You are adding an upsell product. Click on the Upsell Tab to edit the Upsell option. This is how an upsell product should look like:

It should be an item that customers can add to their shopping basket to compliment the product.

Click on the UpSells button to modify your Upsells. To add a product, you will need to have created it just as we did for the belly fat product. You just need to click on the Add button.

Next, let’s look at integration.

You will notice that the MailChimp integration appears in our drop-down list.

From the drop-down menu, you can select which customer list to add or remove from after a purchase.

But, if your product has a membership requirement, you need to integrate your member portal using the method that we previously discussed.

This is the place to go if you are a rockstar and wish to add custom scripts to personalize your checkout page. You can script or HTML codes to your checkout page header or footer.

You can include one important script in your Facebook pixel or Google Analytics scripts to help you obtain more data to improve marketing.

However, if you don’t want to keep them pending, you can activate automatic approval in your Affiliate dashboard.

Scroll down to your affiliate dashboard, and you will see a slide called Auto Approval that you can toggle on/off.

So instead of receiving email notifications that they’re application is pending approval, they’ll automatically be approved. The login details for the applicant will be sent immediately to them and they will automatically log in to their dashboard.
