Create an account
It’s very easy to create an SamCart account. Log in to SamCart.com. Click on the obvious “Try it Free” button.
You will be redirected directly to the pricing page, where you can select the plan that interests you.
It’s not necessary to pay an initial payment in order to try it. After clicking on any plan, you will be taken to checkout.
During the 14 days of the trial period, you will not be charged for the product. And note that you can cancel your subscription within the 14-day of trial.

Step 1 Edit Settings
The Edit Settings button will open a new tab. It won’t take long for you to be taken directly to that page.
Let’s do it step by step.
The Edit page can be divided into five sections. The General tab lets you edit a range of options, from your cart logo to the parameters of your content URL.
Let’s find out what we can do with these fields.
i). Marketplace Name: You can change the Marketplace name at any time. Remember that you added it during your signup process.
You can always edit it if that was not accurate.
The next step is to choose a default country to display on your checkout pages. However, your customers have the option to change this at any time.
ii). Time Zone: This allows you to choose the Time Zone in which your cart will function. Samcart Merge Customers
This is important because, if you include a product expiry day, your date/time will be calculated based on your time zone. You can inform your customers about the time zone.
iii). Support Contact: You will need to enter your support contact email in this field. Add an email address to which customers can contact you easily.
Any email can be added. However, it’s better to add a business email address, for example, [email protected]
iv). Currency: You can’t change your currency once you have registered it. You cannot change your currency after registration.

vi Buy completion: This is where you will direct your customers after they make a purchase. It is up to you whether you want them to go directly to the original URL, or to display a summary page that contains redirect links.
With the Redirect Link Button Text, you can tell your customers what next to do with a call for action button.
They can be granted access to digital products, such as the product. You also allow them to join your premium area.
You should now be able to move forward. However, If you want to configure your marketing analytics at once, you can go do so as well.
You can keep the settings as they are. If you prefer a custom setting, you can modify the fields using any name you like following the example.
Once you’re finished editing these settings please save them. The Save button is at the top right corner of the page.
Next, you can move to the Integration menu tab: There are a bunch of integrations options there.
It is important to set up the integration early so that you don’t have it to do each time you need to sell a product.
Let’s start with integrating our email autoresponder software. To add an additional email service, click “+Add New”
Choose the one that applies to you. Click on the icon if you’ve already signed up with AWeberor MailChimp to proceed with integration.
Let’s suppose that MailChimp would be your autoresponder choice in this instance.
Edit the integration details if MailChimp is selected from the drop-down menu. Add the integration name and your API Key.
You can enter any name you desire for your label. That’s what you’ll use to identify this integration in case you want to use it. It’s best to name it something descriptive. I’ll name mine MailChimp Integration. Samcart Merge Customers
Then log into your MailChimp account to get your API key. Log into Mailchimp.com by entering your username & password.
Once you have successfully logged into your MailChimp Account, go to the Extras Menu. There you will find API keys in a drop-down menu.
Click on the Create Key button, and an API key will automatically be generated. You don’t have to do anything else.
Copy it, and then paste it into the SamCart integration set-up.
And that’s it.
You might also need to integrate another platform. This process could be slightly different.
For example, to integrate with Aweber, you don’t have to go get your API key from your dashboard manually, the system just allows you to login and it completes the integration.

These are often the two most common ways in which integration processes work in many situations.
However, if you have a product that is a member site, it might be a good idea to integrate with a members platform.
Scroll down the integration page to locate the Membership link.
Click on “+ Add New”
The page will then appear as follows:
Select the membership platform for your product, then click on Add Integration.
You can enter all the details and click on the “integrate” button. All necessary information is available in your dashboard. Log in to OptimizeMember Dashboard to view them.
Next, you can now customize your email settings. To access this functionality, click on the Email Tab.
a Email Footer Editable: Here you can modify the footer details for every email that you send from dashboard. You can do this either automatically or manually.
Click it to open a popup box that you can edit.

Click on the Edit button and edit it.
What about when processes break down? These are where you will set the email messages that customers receive when processes fail.

Once you are done editing emails, you can add any custom fields you wish. If you would like to add custom fields to your checkout page please click the CUSTOM FIELD tab.
Custom Fields Click on the + Create New button to add a field.
A pop up will appear.
Enter the name(s) of the fields you would like to add. However, your customer won’t be able to see the internal field names. Instead, the customer will see the check out label as the field name.
A list of items that appear when you click on the field. A drop-down list allows the customer to choose only one item.
A checkbox contains several items that a customer can choose from. The customer can decide to choose all of them or choose just one out of all of them.
However, this is only a one-item checkbox.
After you have finished, click on Save.
As many as you like. However, long forms are not liked by customers. Your form shouldn’t be too long.
They will most likely abandon the cart. As I mentioned, 2/3 customers will abandon the shopping cart.
Do not give them another reason to leave. The research shows that 27% leave shopping carts when they find it too difficult or lengthy. Samcart Merge Customers
Keep it simple.
Enter their email address in Enter email and click on the Add New button. They’ll receive an email to accept your request. Once they do, they should be able to login as an administrator, too.
You’re done with Step 1 in the setup process.
Next, let’s move to Step 2:
Step 2: Connect a Processor
Go back to the previous tab if you’ve been following this tutorial. Connect a payment processor so you can receive payments. Click the Add Payment Processing button.
You will be taken back to Settings. You will find the payment integration option here.
To add a payment processor, click on the big ADD NEW button or the +Add New Button by the top right corner of the page.
SamCart is currently integrated with Stripe and Paypal as payment processors.
Once you click on the Create New button, a page will pop up showing this:
Click on Stripe, or Paypal. If you click Stripe, you will be able to log in using your credentials.

Fill in the form and you should be ready to go. Check to make sure that your country appears on Stripe payment acceptance lists.
If you are able to include both payment options for your customers that would be nice. Customers can choose the payment method they prefer.
Next, let’s move to the next step:
Step 3 – Create a Product
Now return to your dashboard. Now you will be taken to the Payment processor page. Here’s the fun part: click on the Add first Product Button.
Click on this button to open the next page
Click on the +New Product button.
This page allows you to update product information. Enter the product name, price, and description. Choose whether the payment will be one-time or recurring.
A product like an ebook will most likely be a one time payment type of product, however, a product such as a membership or an online course will most likely require a recurring payment option.
You might need additional information after you’ve added product information.
You can see that at the top menu, they’re other settings you can make to complete your check out.
Let’s start with the product picture. Upload your product image. This is the image that will be displayed on SamCart’s checkout page.
Enter the address of the website your customers will see when they click on your checkout button. Most people will have a page like yourdomain.com/thankyou.html Next enter the product type are you selling a digital product or physical product?
You can upload the product immediately if it is a digital one. You can ignore this option if the product is not digital. Samcart Merge Customers
You can also enable the coupon code option for this stage if you plan to use coupons in marketing.
When you enable it, people will be able add coupons to your product to get a discount.
Click on “Add New Coupon” to open a pop-up with the following details:
Promo codes can be a great way of generating more customers for your company. Customers love discounts, just think about it, some customers can buy stuff they don’t even need just because it’s discounted.
They’ll say, maybe, it might become extremely expensive in the future when they might need it and might not have the cash to buy at that time.

Complete the coupon code setup: Choose a code for your coupon code, set the duration will it be a one-time coupon or a recurring coupon code? Choose the best option to describe what you want your customers to receive.
You can add a coupon at no additional cost.
Let’s now move on to the checkout page design.
Click on the Checkout Design tab to choose from 18 templates at this time. Any of the templates you like can be selected.
To customize the design, scroll down. You can customize the settings to fit your brand’s voice.
You can begin by customizing the color.
You can either choose from pre-defined color codes, or you can create your own. It has a colour picker that allows you to pick the color you wish without having to remember the color codes.
You can alter the colors of your header, footer and background as well as the buttons.
Next, add some fields. Check all fields you would like to see on your checkout webpage.

Click on the Payments tab to turn on any active payment options.

However, if Stripe has been integrated into your system, it will be active and you can turn the on/off switch.

You would like to add an extra product. Click on the Upsell Tab to edit the Upsell option. Here is an example showing how your upsell products will look:
It should be a product your customers add to their cart to complement the product.
To edit your Upsells, click on the UpSells tab and edit it. You must add a product. So you just need to click and add it.
This is where you can add any upsell funnels you have created. We’ll talk more on upsell funnel later in this article.
Next, let’s look at integration.

You’ll be able to see our MailChimp integration in the drop down list.
The drop-down menu lets you choose which customer list you wish to add after a purchase, refund or to remove after purchase.

Here is a script that you could include in the Facebook pixel script and your Google Analytics script. This will help you to get more data to better market.

Instead of receiving emails advising them that their application is being reviewed, they’ll be approved immediately. The login details for the applicant will be sent immediately to them and they will automatically log in to their dashboard.
