Create an account

It’s very easy to create an SamCart account. Log in to SamCart.com, and click the “TRY IT FREE” button.

You’ll be taken to the pricing page. Here you can choose which plan you would like to try.

The initial payment is not necessary before you try the product. After clicking on any plan, you will be taken to checkout.

During the 14 days of the trial period, you will not be charged for the product. You have 14 days to cancel your subscription.

You’ll be taken directly to a signup page once you have placed your order.

Next, you’ll need to create a marketplace. This form will look something like the one below.

To get started, fill out the form.

You are now fully registered and you can begin using SamCart. Samcart Isn’t A Cart

Next step is to create a checkout page. Here’s an example of what your SamCart dashboard might look like:

Step 1: Modify Settings

Click on the Edit Settings button and the page to edit will appear in a new tab. Don’t worry, you’ll be taken to that page automatically.

Let’s take it step by step.

The Edit page is divided into 5 sections. You can edit the General tab to change a lot of things, such as your cart logo or your content URL parameters.

Let’s check out what you can change in these fields:

i Marketplace Name: You can change the Marketplace name at any time. Remember that you added it during your signup process.

It’s possible to edit it if necessary.

Then, you can choose which country will appear as the default for your checkout page. Of course, customers can always change it to another country.

ii). Time Zone: Now, you can select which Time Zone your cart should be using. Samcart Isn’t A Cart

This is important because, if you include a product expiry day, your date/time will be calculated based on your time zone. You can inform your customers about the time zone.

iii). Support Contact: In this field, you want to add your support contact email. Add an email customers can contact you with easily.

iv). Currency: After you register your currency, you will not be able change it. You cannot change your currency after registration.

v Embed HTML/Scripts Field: If your tech skills are limited and you want to add HTML or JavaScript code onto your checkout page you can do so in the Embed HTML/Scripts section.

vi Buy completion: This is where you will direct your customers after they make a purchase. If you would like them to go back to the original URL, you can display a summary page or include redirect links. It’s your choice.

The Redirect Link Button text allows you to tell your customers what to do next by using a call-to-action button.

You could allow them access to the product, let them download the digital product they purchased, or invite them to your premium area.

Once you’ve completed these steps, you should feel confident and ready to go. You can however, configure your marketing data at once if you wish.

You can leave the settings the way they are, you don’t have to bother yourself. You can customize the settings by changing the names of the fields as shown in the example.

Once you’re done editing these settings, please save the settings. The Save button can be found in the upper right corner of this page.

Next, you will be able to go to the Integration Menu tab. There are many options for integrations.

You should set up the integration as soon as possible so that it is not necessary to do this each time you sell a new product.

Let’s begin by integrating our email-autoresponder software. To add an email service, click on the +Add New button.

Pick the one that best suits you. If you’ve signed up with AWeberor MailChimp, you can click on it and follow the instructions for integration.

Let’s say that MailChimp was your preferred autoresponder for this example.

Select MailChimp from drop-down menu to edit integration details. Input your API key and add the integration label.

Click on Create a Key to get your API key generated automatically. There is nothing else you need to do.

Copy it and paste it in your SamCart integration setup.

That’s all there is.

The process may be slightly different if you want to also integrate with another platform.

To integrate with Aweber for instance, you don’t have to go to your dashboard to find your API key manually. The system simply allows you login and it completes your integration.

These are usually the two ways the integration processes always work, in many cases.

If your product is a subscription site, you may also wish to integrate with a platform for members.

Scroll down until you find the link to join.

Click on the + Add New button.

This page will be displayed:

Select the membership platform for your product, then click on Add Integration.

I can continue to input the information and click on “Integrate” All the required information is in your dashboard. Log in to your OptimizeMember dashboard for all the details.

Next, you can now customize your email settings. Click on the Email tab to access this function. You can modify the following settings:

a Email Footer: You can edit the details of your footer that will appear in each email you send using your dashboard.

You can edit the popup box by clicking on it.

What happens when processes fail? These are where you will set the email messages that customers receive when processes fail.

c). Emails to Dupes

After editing your emails are complete, you can add custom field if you would like. You can add customized fields to your checkout pages by clicking the CUSTOMFIELDS tab.

A pop-up will be displayed.

Enter the names of fields you wish to add. While the customer won’t see the inner field name, the customer’s check out page label will show it as the field title.

A drop-down menu of items will appear when the mouse is pressed on the field. For a drop down list, the customer is limited to selecting one item.

A checkbox will have several options that a user has the option to choose from. Customers can choose to pick all or one of the items in a checkbox.

This is just one item.

Click on Save once you are done.

You can add as much as you want. But let me warn you, customers hate long forms. Be brief.

They’ll likely abandon it. As I mentioned earlier, two thirds of customers abandon their shopping cart.

Don’t add another reason for them to leave. As one of the reasons 27% of customers in the research say they leave a shopping cart is because it’s too long and complicated. Samcart Isn’t A Cart

Please, keep it simple.

Enter their email address below and click Add New. Your request will be accepted by them via email. Once they do, they should be able to login as an administrator, too.

Now you are done with Step 1.

Let’s now move on to Step 2.

Step 2: Connect to a Processor

If you’ve been following the tutorial closely, go back into the previous tab. Now you will connect a pay processor to allow you to receive payments. Click the Add Payment Processor button.

You will then be taken to Settings again. The payment integration option can be found here.

To add a Payment Processor, click the big ADDNE button or +Add New Button at the top of the page.

As of the time of this writing, SamCart integrates with two payment processors Paypal and Stripe.

After clicking on the Create New link, a page will open showing you this:

Click on Stripe and Paypal. If you click Stripe, you will be able to log in using your credentials.

You can start by filling out the form. Check that your country is on the Stripe payment list.

If you decide to add the two payment options for your customers, that’ll be nice. Customers can choose their preferred payment payment processor.

Let’s next move to the next:

Step 3: Create a product

Now return to the dashboard. Return to your dashboard. This is the exciting part.

Click that button and you’ll see the following page.

Click on +New Product.

This page will allow you to enter new product information. Enter the name, price, and description of your product. Select whether you’d like it to be a onetime payment or a recurring.

A product like an ebook will most likely be a one time payment type of product, however, a product such as a membership or an online course will most likely require a recurring payment option.

Once you have entered the product information you may need to update the next page.

The settings are located at the top of the menu.

Let’s start with the product picture. Upload your product image. This is the image that will be displayed on SamCart’s checkout page.

When your customers complete their order on your checkout page, enter a URL address. Most people will have a page like yourdomain.com/thankyou.html Next enter the product type are you selling a digital product or physical product?

If it’s a digital product, you have the option to upload it immediately. If it isn’t a digital product, however, you can ignore that option. Samcart Isn’t A Cart

Finally, this stage allows you to enable the coupon codes option if you intend to use coupons for your marketing.

When you enable it, people will be able add coupons to your product to get a discount.

Click on the Add New Coupon button. A popup window will open with the following information.

You can generate more customers by using coupon codes. Discounts are loved by customers. Some customers might even buy products they don’t need because of the discount.

They will say it may become too expensive later on, when they might be in need and don’t have the cash.

So they will likely buy. Marketing with coupon codes is a great strategy. Samcart Isn’t A Cart

Setup the coupon code: Select a code to use for your coupon code. Also, choose whether it will be a one-time or recurring coupon code. Choose the option that best describes what you want to offer your customers.

Not to mention, adding a coupon can be completely optional.

Let’s move on to the checkout pages design.

Click on the Checkout Design tab, then choose from over 18 templates as of the time of this writing. Any one of these templates can be chosen to suit your brand.

Scroll down to modify the design. You will find many options to customize the design to suit your brand’s voice.

Start by customizing colors.

You can select from predefined color codes and create your own. It even has a color chooser, which allows you to select the exact color you want without having any to do with the color codes.

You can change the color of the header, footer, background, headline, and your buttons color.

Next, you want to add some fields including your custom fields remember the “school” field we created previously, we can also add it here to your product page. Check all fields you would like to see on your checkout webpage.

You can move on to the next settings your product’s guarantee settings. Which guarantee do you offer your customers? Are you offering a guarantee of 30 days? Samcart Isn’t A Cart

You can add that setting here. Like I told you initially, SamCart is developed with conversion in mind. These features encourage conversion.

You can use the +Add Bullet button to add more points as bullet points to your Checkout page.

After you have completed the setup, you can add your terms and conditions. Turn it in.

In the case where you turn it on, a customer must agree to your terms and conditions before they’ll be able to buy your product.

Keep in mind that your URL will contain the content of your terms and conditions.

This link will appear at the bottom on the page. Next, you need to add the payment processor. Don’t worry, you won’t need to go through the steps you went through in step two again.

Just click on the Payments tab and turn the Payment options that are active on.

Since I have integrated PayPal only for this review, PayPal is only active in my instance. Samcart Isn’t A Cart

But, Stripe can be activated if you have it integrated.

You can also add a secondary payment processing processor. This option is for merchants who wish to add a secondary product. Click on the dropdown menu to choose an item. Samcart Isn’t A Cart

You would like to add an extra product. Click on the Upsell Tab to edit the Upsell option. Here is an example of how your upsell product will look like:

It should be an item that customers can add to their shopping basket to compliment the product.

To modify your Upsells click on the UpSellstab and edit it. To add a product, you will need to have created it just as we did for the belly fat product. Just click on it and you’re done.

You can also add an upsell funnel to this page if you have one. In this article, we will talk about upsell funnels.

Next, let’s look at integration.

You’ll notice that our MailChimp integration is showing up with our list in the drop-down list.

From the drop-down menu, you can select which customer list to add or remove from after a purchase.

You’ll also notice that there is no membership integration, Yes, it’s completely optional.

However, if you have a product that requires membership, make sure to integrate your membership portal using this method.

Once they are approved, they will be sent their login details email, password, and login URL so they can access their accounts.

If you do not want to have them pending you can activate automatic approbation in your Affiliate Dashboard.

Scroll to the bottom on your affiliate dashboard and find Auto Approval. This slide can be toggled on or off.

Instead of receiving emails advising them that their application is being reviewed, they’ll be approved immediately. They’ll receive their login details right away and will be automatically logged into their dashboard.
