Create an account

It’s easy to set up a SamCart profile. Log into SamCart.com to create an account.

You’ll be redirected to the pricing page where you can choose the plan you want to try.

Before you can try it, you don’t need to make an initial payment. Once you click on any of the plans, you’ll be taken to the checkout page.

During the 14 day trial, the product will not be charged to your credit card. You have 14 days to cancel your subscription.

You’ll be taken directly to a signup page once you have placed your order.

Your marketplace will be created. You’ll see a form like the one below.

Please fill out this form. Once you’re done click “Create Marketplace”.

Next, you will need to create a checkout site. This is how your SamCart dashboard should look.

This is how you can create your checkout page in just 3 steps.

Step 1 Edit Settings

The Edit Settings button will open a new tab. It won’t take long for you to be taken directly to that page.

Let’s do it step by step.

The Edit page is divided into 5 sections. The General tab allows you to edit a variety of options, including your cart logo and your content URL parameters.

Let’s find out what we can do with these fields.

i). Marketplace Name. You can always change your Marketplace name.

You can still edit it if you think that wasn’t accurate.

Next, you will choose the default country for your checkout page. Your customers can change it at any time to their country of choice.

ii). Time Zone: Now you can choose the Time Zone that your cart will work with. Samcart Indonesia

This is important as if you add an expiry date to your product, it will count based on the time zone that you specify. You can also let your customers know which time zone you use.

iii). Support Contact: You will need to enter your support contact email in this field. You can add an email address that customers can easily contact you.

Any email address you choose can be added. However, it’s better to add a business email address, for example, [email protected]

iv). Currency: After you register your currency, you will not be able change it. After you register, you cannot change your currency.

However, if you want to change it, you should be able to do that by contacting the SamCart support team.

v Embed HTML/Scripts Field: If your tech skills are limited and you want to add HTML or JavaScript code onto your checkout page you can do so in the Embed HTML/Scripts section.

It doesn’t require any additional settings to make it work. It should be able to work straight out the box. Samcart Indonesia

vi Complete purchase: Here you can select the destination your users will go to after making a purchase. You can choose whether you want your users to go to the original URL or display a summary page with links.

You can also use the Redirect Link ButtonText to let your customers know what to do next.

For example, they can gain access to your product, download the digital product that they have purchased, and join your premium section.

Once you’ve done this, you should be okay and ready to go. You can however, configure your marketing data at once if you wish.

You don’t have any need to alter the settings. However, if you wish to create a custom setting, just follow the steps above and replace the names in the fields.

Once you’re done editing these settings, please save the settings. The Save button appears in the top left corner of your page.

You can then move on to the Integration menu tab. There are many integration options available there.

It’s crucial to establish the integration before you start selling new products.

Let’s begin with integrating our autoresponder email software. To add an additional email service, click “+Add New”

Choose the one that applies to you. If you’ve signed up with AWeberor MailChimp, you can click on it and follow the instructions for integration.

Let’s suppose that MailChimp would be your autoresponder choice in this instance.

If you choose MailChimp from the drop-down menu, edit the integration details. Add the integration name and your API Key.

You can enter any name you desire for your label. It’s the name you will use to identify this integration, should you wish to use them. You can name it anything that is descriptive. MailChimp Integration is what I will name it. Samcart Indonesia

Log in to your MailChimp account and you will receive your API key. Go to Mailchimp.com and log in with your username and password.

After you log in successfully to your MailChimp account, navigate to the Extras menu. You’ll find API keys at the drop-down.

Click the Create a Key button. The API key will be generated automatically. You don’t need to do anything.

Copy it and paste into your SamCart integration setup.

That’s all there is.

It might take a little longer if you are also looking to integrate another platform.

To integrate with Aweber for instance, you don’t have to go to your dashboard to find your API key manually. The system simply allows you login and it completes your integration.

These are usually the two ways the integration processes always work, in many cases.

You might want to integrate your product with a membership website if it is.

Scroll down until you find the link to join.

Click on the +Add New button.

This page will be displayed:

Click on Add Integration and choose the membership platform that you would like to use with your product.

You can proceed to enter the information and then click the button for integration. All the required information is in your dashboard. Log into your OptimizeMember dashboard to get them.

Next, customize your email settings. Click on the Email tab to access this function. You can modify the following settings:

a). Email Footer: You can edit the details of your footer that will appear in each email you send using your dashboard.

You can edit the popup box by clicking on it.

Next, create emails that are consistent for all customers for specific events. Samcart Indonesia

This could be, for example, when a customer orders are refunded.

b). Emails that can be customized

Click the Edit button to edit it.

What about when processes go sour? Here is where you set the emails sent to customers when processes fail they are called Dunning Emails.

c). Dunning Emails

After you’re done editing your email, you can add custom fields if desired. If you wish to add customized fields on your checkout page, this is the place to do it.

Custom Fields: Click on the + Add New button to create a new field.

Pop ups will appear.

Enter the name of your fields. Your customer will not see the internal name but the label for the checkout page will.

A drop-down list of items appears when you click the field. Understand that for a drop-down list, the customer can only choose one item.

A checkbox may contain many items the user can select from. A customer has the option to select all of them, or just one.

This is a single item checkbox though.

Once you are done, click on Save.

You can add as many as you wish. I warn you that customers don’t like long forms. Do not make your form too long.

It’s likely they will abandon it. As I mentioned, 2/3 customers will abandon the shopping cart.

You shouldn’t give customers another reason to abandon your site. The research shows that 27% leave shopping carts when they find it too difficult or lengthy. Samcart Indonesia

Please keep it simple.

Enter their email address in Enter email and click on the Add New button. Once they accept your request, you will be sent an email. After they accept your request, they will be able login as administrator.

This completes Step 1 of the setup process.

Next, let’s get to Step 2

Step 2: Connect to a Processor

If you have not been following this tutorial, please go back and open the previous tab. You will need to connect a processor in order to receive payments. Click on the Add payment processor button.

The Settings tab will open again. Where you can find the payment integration option.

Click on the big ADD New button or the +Add new Button in the upper right corner of the page to add a payment processor.

SamCart now integrates with Stripe and Paypal.

After clicking on the Create New link, a page will open showing you this:

Click on either Paypal or Stripe. If you click on Stripe, this page will show up for you to login your credentials.

Complete the form and you’ll be good to go. Check to make sure that your country appears on Stripe payment acceptance lists.

It would be great if you could offer both payment options to your customers. Customers can choose the preferred payment processor.

Let’s now move on to the next step.

Step 3: Create a Product

Now return to your dashboard. From where you were redirected to the Payment processor page. The most exciting part is here: Click on the Add First Product button.

After clicking on the button, you will see the following page.

Click on the +New Products button.

This page will allow you to enter new product information. Enter the name, price, and description of your product. Also, choose whether you want a one-time or recurring payment.

An ebook is a type of product that can be purchased once. A membership or online course, on the other hand, will need recurring payments.

You might need additional information after you’ve added product information.

You can see that at the top menu, they’re other settings you can make to complete your check out.

Let’s begin by uploading the product photo. Upload your product image. The image that will show up like this one one SamCart checkout page:

Enter the address of the website your customers will see when they click on your checkout button. Most people will have a page like yourdomain.com/thankyou.html Next enter the product type are you selling a digital product or physical product?

If it is a digital product you can upload it immediately. If it’s not a product in digital format, you have the option to ignore that option. Samcart Indonesia

Finally, for this stage, if you’re going to use coupons for marketing, you can enable the coupon code option.

It’s possible to create coupons for people to buy your product at reduced prices once you enable it.

Click on “Add New Coupon” to open a pop-up with the following details:

Promo codes can be a great way of generating more customers for your company. Discounts are a favorite with customers. Just think, some customers will buy things they don’t need because it’s cheap.

They’ll tell you that it might get very expensive in future, and they might not have enough money at that time.

Complete the coupon code setup: Choose a code for your coupon code, set the duration will it be a one-time coupon or a recurring coupon code? Choose the best option to describe what you want your customers to receive.

Not to mention, adding a coupon can be completely optional.

Let’s now get to the checkout page design.

Click on Checkout Design to open a selection of over 18 templates. You can choose the one that best suits your brand.

To customize the design, scroll down. You’ll find a bunch of settings you can edit to match your brand’s voice.

Start by customizing colors.

You can choose the predefined color codes or create your own colors. The best thing about it is that you can use the color picker to choose the color you want, without having to worry about the code.

You can change your header color, footer color, background color, headline and buttons color.

Next, you want to add some fields including your custom fields remember the “school” field we created previously, we can also add it here to your product page. You can check the fields that you wish to make active on your checkout pages.

Now you can go to the next settings of your product’s warranty settings. Which guarantee do you offer your customers? Are you offering a 30-day money back guarantee? Samcart Indonesia

This setting can be added to the site. Like I told you initially, SamCart is developed with conversion in mind. These features encourage conversion.

You can add bullet points to the Checkout page by clicking on +Add Bullet.

Once everything is done, you will be able to add your terms. Now, turn it on.

In the case where you turn it on, a customer must agree to your terms and conditions before they’ll be able to buy your product.

Remember that you will provide a URL to where your terms & conditions content is hosted.

The link is located at bottom of the page. It will include the hyperlink “Terms, Conditions”. Next you will need to add payment processors for your checkout page. Do not worry about repeating the steps in step 2.

Click on the payment tab to switch the active payment options.

Since I have integrated PayPal only for this review, PayPal is only active in my instance. Samcart Indonesia

You can activate Stripe if Stripe has already been integrated.

You can also add a secondary payment processing processor. This is a feature that merchants can use to add an alternate product. Click on the dropdown menu to choose an item. Samcart Indonesia

You want to add an upsell product. Click on the Upsell tab to edit the upsell option. Here is an example showing how your upsell products will look:

It should be an item that customers can add to their shopping basket to compliment the product.

Edit your Upsells by clicking on the UpSells Tab and editing it. Note that you must have created the product before adding it to the cart. Just click on it and you’re done.

It’s possible to add upsell funnels here if you have created one. We’ll be discussing the upsell channel later in this article.

Next, let’s look at integration.

Our MailChimp integration will be visible in the drop-down menu.

You can choose from the drop down menu which customer list you want to include after a sale or refund, and then remove them after purchase.

You will also see that there is no membership integration.

However, if you have a product that requires membership, make sure to integrate your membership portal using this method.

The last section is Advanced.

Here are some instructions if you feel like a rockstar and would like to add some scripts to your checkout page. You can add HTML code or scripts in your checkout page header.

Here is a script that you could include in the Facebook pixel script and your Google Analytics script. This will help you to get more data to better market.

Once approved, they’ll be sent their login details Email, password, login URL where they can access their accounts and everything they require to start promoting your products.

You can however activate automatic approval from your Affiliate dashboard if you don’t want them to remain pending.

Scroll down to the bottom and click on Auto Approval.

So instead of receiving email notifications that they’re application is pending approval, they’ll automatically be approved. They will immediately receive their login information and be logged in to the dashboard.
