Create an account

It’s easy to set up a SamCart profile. Log into the website SamCart.com and click on the obvious ‘TRY IT FREE’ button.

The pricing page will redirect you to the plan selection page.

It’s not necessary to pay an initial payment in order to try it. You’ll be taken directly to the checkout page after you click on one of the plans.

During the 14-day free trial period, there will be no charges for you to use the product. You may cancel your subscription within 14 days of the trial.

Once you place your order, you’ll be taken on a signup webpage.

And then you’ll have to create your marketplace. A form similar to the one shown below will appear.

To get started, fill out the form.

This is how you can create your checkout page in just 3 steps.

Step 1: Edit settings

To edit the page, click on the Edit Settings button. A new tab will open. Be assured that you will automatically be taken there.

Let’s move on.

The Edit page has five sections. The General tab allows you to edit a variety of options, including your cart logo and your content URL parameters.

Let’s look at the fields you can edit:

i. Marketplace Name: You can change the Marketplace name at any time. Remember that you added it during your signup process.

You can edit it if it’s not correct.

The next step is to choose a default country to display on your checkout pages. However, your customers have the option to change this at any time.

ii Time Zone: Now you can choose the Time Zone that your cart will work with. Samcart Email Intergrations

This is important, because if your product expiry dates are added, the date and time of your products will be counted based upon the time zone specified. Customers can then know which time zone your company uses.

iii). Support Contact: In this field, you want to add your support contact email. Add an email address so customers can easily reach you.

Any email can be added. However, it’s better to add a business email address, for example, [email protected]

iv). Currency: It’s also important to note that you won’t be able to change your currency after you set it during registration. You can’t change the currency at this stage.

If you wish to make any changes to it, contact the SamCart support team.

v Embed HTML/Scripts Field: If your tech skills are limited and you want to add HTML or JavaScript code onto your checkout page you can do so in the Embed HTML/Scripts section.

vi Complete purchase: Here you can select the destination your users will go to after making a purchase. The choice of whether they want to be redirected to the original redirect URL, or displayed a summary page containing redirect links is up to them.

With the Redirect Link Button Text, you can tell your customers what next to do with a call for action button.

You can, for example, grant them access to the product.

Once you’ve done this, you should be okay and ready to go. But if you need to quickly configure your marketing analytics, you can do this as well.

You don’t have any need to alter the settings. However, if you wish to create a custom setting, just follow the steps above and replace the names in the fields.

Save these settings once you’re done editing them. The Save button appears in the top left corner of your page.

Next, you can move to the Integration menu tab: There are a bunch of integrations options there.

It’s important that you set up the integration now so you don’t have to create it each time you want to sell a new product.

Let’s first integrate our email autoresponder program. To add an Email Service, click on “+ Add New”.

Select the one that is most applicable to you. You can click the link if you have signed up for AWeberor MailChimp and follow the instructions to integrate.

Let’s say that MailChimp was your preferred autoresponder for this example.

Modify the integration details for MailChimp if you have selected it from the dropdown menu. Add the integration label to your API key.

You can enter any name to your label. It’s the name you will use to identify this integration, should you wish to use them. You can name it anything that is descriptive. I’ll name mine MailChimp Integration. Samcart Email Intergrations

You will then need to log in to your MailChimp email account in order for your API key. Log in to Mailchimp.com with your username, password and email address.

Once you have successfully logged into your MailChimp Account, go to the Extras Menu. There you will find API keys in a drop-down menu.

Click on Create a Key to get your API key generated automatically. You don’t have to do anything else.

Copy it and paste it in your SamCart integration setup.

That’s all there is.

If you also want to integrate another platform, the process might be a bit different.

You don’t even have to go to your dashboard in order to obtain your API Key. Aweber will automatically log you in to complete your integration.

These are typically the two methods that integrate in many cases.

You might want to integrate your product with a membership website if it is.

Scroll down to find the Membership link.

Click on the +Add New button.

And here’s the page:

Select the membership platform you want to use for your product and click on Add Integration.

I can go ahead and input the necessary information and click on the integration button. All of the necessary information can be found in your dashboard. Log in to your OptimizeMember dashboard for all the details.

Next, you can customize your email settings. Click on the Email tab to access this function. You can modify the following settings:

a Email Footer – Here you can edit your footer details, which will be included in all emails you send from your dashboard.

You can edit the popup box by clicking on it.

Next, you will need to create emails which are the same for each customer for certain events. Samcart Email Intergrations

Click on the Edit button and edit it.

What about when processes fail? Here are Dunning Emails. These emails are for customers who experience failure in processes.

When you are done editing your emails, you can go ahead to add some custom fields if you like. In case you want to add some customized fields to your checkout page, here is where to do it in the CUSTOM FIELDS tab.

Custom Fields: Click on the + Add New button to create a new field.

A pop up will appear.

Enter the name of the fields you want to add, the internal field name won’t be seen by your customer but the check out page label will be shown to the customer as the field name.

A drop-down menu of items will appear when the mouse is pressed on the field. For a drop down list, the customer is limited to selecting one item.

A checkbox will contain several items that a user can choose from. A customer has the option to select all of them, or just one.

This is a single item checkbox though.

Once you are done, click on Save.

You can add as many as you wish. You should be aware that customers dislike long forms. Don’t make your form too long.

They will most likely abandon the cart. Like I stated earlier, 2 out of 3 customers will abandon their shopping cart.

Do not add another reason why they might leave. Research shows that 27% of shoppers abandon shopping carts due to it being too complicated or long. Samcart Email Intergrations

Keep it simple.

Simply enter their email address into the Enter email field, and then click on Add New. Your request will be accepted by them via email. Once they do, they should be able to login as an administrator, too.

You’re done with Step 1 in the setup process.

Next, let’s move to Step 2:

Step 2 – Connect a processor

If you’ve been following this tutorial, you can go back to the first tab. At this point, you want to connect a payment processor to enable you to receive payments. Click on “Add Payment Processor”

You will be taken back to Settings. You will find the payment integration option here.

To add a payment processor, click on the big ADD NEW button or the +Add New Button by the top right corner of the page.

SamCart currently integrates with Stripe, Paypal, and Stripe as of the time this writing.

Once you click on the Create New button, a page will pop up showing this:

Click on Stripe and Paypal. Clicking on Stripe will bring up a page for you to log in.

Once you have completed the form, you will be able to start your journey. Verify that your country is listed in Stripe’s accepted countries.

If you are able to include both payment options for your customers that would be nice. Customers can choose the payment method they prefer.

Let’s next move to the next:

Step 3: Create a product

Now, return to your dashboard. The Payment processor page will redirect you from your dashboard. The most exciting part is here: Click on the Add First Product button.

After clicking on the button, you will see the following page.

Click on the +New Product button.

This page allows you to update product information. Enter the name, price, and description of your product. Choose whether the payment will be one-time or recurring.

An ebook product will be a one-time payment product. However, an online course or membership will require a recurring payment option.

Once you have entered the product information you may need to update the next page.

These settings can be found in the top menu.

Let’s start from the product image. Upload your product image. This image will appear on the SamCart checkout page.

Enter a webpage address your customers will be taken to when they complete their purchase on your checkout page. Most people will have a page like yourdomain.com/thankyou.html Next enter the product type are you selling a digital product or physical product?

If it is a digital product you can upload it immediately. If it’s not a product in digital format, you have the option to ignore that option. Samcart Email Intergrations

Finally, for this stage, if you’re going to use coupons for marketing, you can enable the coupon code option.

Once you enable it, you’ll be able to add coupons people can use to buy your product at a discounted price.

Click on the Add New Coupon button. A popup window will open with the following information.

Coupon codes are a great way for businesses to get more customers. Customers love discounts. Think about it: Some customers may be able to buy items they don’t even need simply because the price is lower.

They’ll say, maybe, it might become extremely expensive in the future when they might need it and might not have the cash to buy at that time.

So they will likely buy. Coupon code marketing is a great strategy. Samcart Email Intergrations

Complete the coupon code setup: Choose a code for your coupon code, set the duration will it be a one-time coupon or a recurring coupon code? Choose the one that best describes what your customer wants.

You can add a coupon at no additional cost.

Let’s get to the checkout page design now:

Click on the Checkout Design tab to choose from 18 templates at this time. Any of them can be customized to your brand.

Scroll down to modify the design. You’ll find a bunch of settings you can edit to match your brand’s voice.

You can begin by customizing the color.

You can choose the predefined color codes or create your own colors. It even has a color chooser, which allows you to select the exact color you want without having any to do with the color codes.

You can change the color of the header, footer, background, headline, and your buttons color.

Next, add some fields. Check all the fields you want to be active on your checkout page.

In the case where you turn it on, a customer must agree to your terms and conditions before they’ll be able to buy your product.

You will find the link at the bottom of your page under the hyperlink “Terms & Conditions.” Next, add the payment processor to your checkout page. Don’t worry, you won’t need to go through the steps you went through in step two again.

You can click on the payments tab and change the active payment options.

However, if Stripe has been integrated into your system, it will be active and you can turn the on/off switch.

You can add a secondary payment processor as well. This option is for merchants who wish to add a secondary product. Select an item by clicking on the dropdown menu. Samcart Email Intergrations

You want to add an upsell product. Click on the Upsell Tab to edit the Upsell option. Here is an example showing how your upsell products will look:

It should be something that your customers can add in their shopping cart to go with the product.

Click on the UpSells tab to edit your Upsells. To add a product, you will need to have created it just as we did for the belly fat product. Click and then add the product.

You can also add an upsell funnel to this page if you have one. Later in this article, we’ll discuss the upsell funnel.

Next, let’s take a look at the next step in the process of creating our product checkout page and that’s integration.

Click on Integration tab

You’ll be able to see our MailChimp integration in the drop down list.

From the drop-down menu, you can select which customer list to add or remove from after a purchase.

If your product requires membership, you should integrate your membership portal with the method we have discussed in this article.

To promote your products and register as affiliates, click the link. After your affiliates have created an account, they will be notified that the registration was successful and that their application has been approved.

Once they are approved, they will be sent their login details email, password, and login URL so they can access their accounts.

You can however activate automatic approval from your Affiliate dashboard if you don’t want them to remain pending.

Scroll down to the bottom and click on Auto Approval.

Instead of receiving email notifications about their application being pending approval (which they might be), they will be approved automatically. They will receive their login details immediately. Once they log in to their dashboard, they’ll automatically be approved.

How long do you think it will take for someone who clicks on your links to register but doesn’t actually purchase anything to be considered as an affiliate referral?

For example, if I click on your affiliate link and return to your checkout page after 30 days and make a purchase, will I still be regarded as your referral?

You can add that settings here also:

Scroll down until you find the Cookie Expiration option in your affiliate dashboard. You can set the time it should last.

In the following example, click an affiliate link to purchase your product. It will be recorded and made available for your affiliates.

Scroll down to edit the settings for Sales Letter Popup template.

Once you’re done, click on the Share button at the top of your dashboard. You will receive the code that you can add to your site.

Take this code and place it in your product page. When someone clicks on the button, it will display a popup.
