Create an account

It is very simple to create a SamCart. Log in to SamCart.com. Click on the obvious “Try it Free” button.

You’ll be redirected to the pricing page where you can choose the plan you want to try.

You’re not required to make any initial payment before trying it out. After clicking on any plan, you will be taken to checkout.

During the 14 day trial, the product will not be charged to your credit card. And note that you can cancel your subscription within the 14-day of trial.

You’ll be taken directly to a signup page once you have placed your order.

You will then need to create your market. Below is an example of the form you’ll find.

Fill out the form and once you’re done, click “Create Marketplace” to get started.

Next is creating a checkout webpage. Here’s how your SamCart dashboard looks like:

This is how you can create your checkout page in just 3 steps.

Step 1: Edit Settings

Click on the Edit Settings button and the page to edit will appear in a new tab. Do not worry, the page will be automatically taken to.

Let’s go through it step-by-step.

The Edit page is broken into five sections. In the General tab, you can edit quite a wide range of options from your cart logo to your content URL parameters.

Let’s find out what we can do with these fields.

i). Marketplace Name: You can change the Marketplace name at any time. Remember that you added it during your signup process.

If you feel it wasn’t correct, you can still make changes to it.

You can then choose a country that will be displayed as default on your checkout page. Customers can also change this to any country they wish.

ii Time Zone: You can now select the Time Zone your cart will be working with. Samcart Clickbank

This is important since if you add a product expired date, your date/time and time will be calculated based off the timezone you specified. You can tell your customers the timezone you are using.

iii). Support Contact: You will need to enter your support contact email in this field. Add an email address to which customers can contact you easily.

Any email address you choose can be added. However, it’s better to add a business email address, for example, [email protected]

iv). Currency: Please note that after you register, you can’t change the currency. After you register, you cannot change your currency.

v Embed HTML/Scripts Field: If your tech skills are limited and you want to add HTML or JavaScript code onto your checkout page you can do so in the Embed HTML/Scripts section.

vi Complete purchase: Here you can select the destination your users will go to after making a purchase. It is up to you whether you want them to go directly to the original URL, or to display a summary page that contains redirect links.

With the Redirect Link Button, you can show your customers what to click next using a call to actions button.

For example, you can allow them to gain access to the product, allow them to download the digital product they just paid for, join your membership site premium area, etc.

You should now be able to move forward. You can however, configure your marketing data at once if you wish.

You don’t need to change the settings. You can change the settings to suit your needs by following the example.

Save these settings once you’re done editing them. The Save button is at the top right corner of the page.

Next, you will be able to go to the Integration Menu tab. There are many options for integrations.

You should set up the integration as soon as possible so that it is not necessary to do this each time you sell a new product.

Let’s start with integrating our email autoresponder software. To add an email address service, click the + Add New button.

Pick the one that best suits you. Once you have registered with AWeberor MailChimp click on it to follow the instructions.

Let’s just assume MailChimp as your autoresponder.

Edit the integration details if MailChimp is selected from the drop-down menu. Add the integration name and your API Key.

You can choose any name for your label. It’s the name you will use to identify this integration, should you wish to use them. So name it something that’ll be a bit descriptitive. MailChimp Integration is what I will name it. Samcart Clickbank

Next, log into your MailChimp Account to obtain your API key. Log into Mailchimp.com by entering your username & password.

After you login successfully to your MailChimp email account, you can go to the Extras menu. Here you’ll find API key drop-down lists.

Click on the Create Key button to generate the API key for you automatically. You don’t need to do anything.

Copy it and paste it in your SamCart integration setup.

That’s all there is.

You might also need to integrate another platform. This process could be slightly different.

For example, to integrate with Aweber, you don’t have to go get your API key from your dashboard manually, the system just allows you to login and it completes the integration.

These are often the two most common ways in which integration processes work in many situations.

However, if you have a product that is a member site, it might be a good idea to integrate with a members platform.

Scroll down to find the Membership link.

Click on the +Add New button.

The page will then appear as follows:

Select the membership platform for your product, then click on Add Integration.

I can continue to input the information and click on “Integrate” All of the necessary information can be found in your dashboard. Log in to OptimizeMember Dashboard to view them.

Next, customize your email settings. This functionality is available by clicking on the Email tab. Some settings that you can edit are:

a Email Footer – Here you can edit your footer details, which will be included in all emails you send from your dashboard.

Once you click the button, a popup will appear for you to modify.

b Customizable Emails:

To edit the file, click on the Edit button.

What happens if processes fail completely? These are the Dunning Emails, which you use to send emails to customers when processes fail.

c Dunning Emails:

You can edit your emails and add custom fields, if you want. If you wish to add customized fields on your checkout page, this is the place to do it.

Custom Fields Click the + New Button to Add a Field

A pop up will show up.

Enter the name(s) of the fields you would like to add. However, your customer won’t be able to see the internal field names. Instead, the customer will see the check out label as the field name.

The drop-down list will display a list of items when you click on the box. For a drop down list, the customer is limited to selecting one item.

A checkbox can contain multiple items that the user can choose from. A customer has the option to select all of them, or just one.

This is a single-item checkbox.

After you have finished, click on Save.

As many as you like. You should be aware that customers dislike long forms. Do not make your form too long.

They will most likely abandon the cart. Like I stated earlier, 2 out of 3 customers will abandon their shopping cart.

Do not add another reason why they might leave. The research shows that 27% leave shopping carts when they find it too difficult or lengthy. Samcart Clickbank

Keep it simple.

Enter their email address below and click Add New. Your request will be accepted by them via email. They will receive an email to accept your request. Once that happens, they will also be able log in as an administrator.

You are done with Step one in the setup process.

Let’s now move on to Step 2.

Step 2 Connect a Processor

If you’ve been following this tutorial, you can go back to the first tab. You will need to connect a processor in order to receive payments. Click on the Add payment processor button.

The Settings tab will open again. Here you will find the Payment Integration option.

To add a payment processing processor, click the big ADD NEW button in the top right corner.

SamCart has integrated with Stripe (PayPal) and Paypal (as of the writing of this article).

Once you click on the Create New button, a page will pop up showing this:

Click on Stripe or Paypal. If you click on Stripe, this page will show up for you to login your credentials.

The form is easy to fill out. Make sure your country is the list of countries that accept Stripe payments.

If you decide to add the two payment options for your customers, that’ll be nice. Customers can choose the preferred payment processor.

Let’s go on to the next stage:

Step 3: Create a Product

Now, return to your dashboard. Now you will be taken to the Payment processor page. This is the exciting part.

You should now see the page below after you have clicked on the button.

Click on +New Product.

This page will show up for you to add new product information. Enter the product name and price. And also choose if it’s going to be a one time payment or recurring payment.

An ebook product will be a one-time payment product. However, an online course or membership will require a recurring payment option.

After you have added the product information, it is possible that you will need to provide additional information on the next page.

The settings are located at the top of the menu.

Let’s begin with the product image. Upload your product image. This image will appear on the SamCart checkout page.

Enter a webpage address your customers will be taken to when they complete their purchase on your checkout page. Most people will have a page like yourdomain.com/thankyou.html Next enter the product type are you selling a digital product or physical product?

If the product is digital, you can upload it immediately. If it isn’t a digital product, however, you can ignore that option. Samcart Clickbank

Finally, for this stage, if you’re going to use coupons for marketing, you can enable the coupon code option.

Once you enable it, you’ll be able to add coupons people can use to buy your product at a discounted price.

Click on the button to Add New Coupon. A pop-up will appear with the following information.

Promo codes can be a great way of generating more customers for your company. Customers love discounts, just think about it, some customers can buy stuff they don’t even need just because it’s discounted.

They’ll tell you that it might get very expensive in future, and they might not have enough money at that time.

So they will likely buy. Coupon code marketing can be a powerful strategy. Samcart Clickbank

To complete the coupon codes setup, select a code and choose whether the coupon will be valid for a single time or a recurring code. Choose the one that best describes what your customer wants.

Note that adding a coupon is completely optional.

Let’s move on to the checkout pages design.

Click on the Checkout Design tab, then choose from over 18 templates as of the time of this writing. You can choose the one that best suits your brand.

Scroll down to customize the design. You will find many options to customize the design to suit your brand’s voice.

Start by customizing colors.

You can choose from the pre-defined colors or make your own. It has a colour picker that allows you to pick the color you wish without having to remember the color codes.

You can modify the color of your header, footer or background, as well as your buttons.

Next, you will need to add fields. This includes your custom fields. We also have the “school”, which we previously created, that we can add to your product pages. Check the fields that are active on your checkout page.

The next setting can be used to adjust the guarantee settings for your product. Which guarantee do you offer your customers? Is your guarantee a 30-day guarantee or a money-back guarantee? Samcart Clickbank

The link will be at the bottom of the page with the hyperlink “Terms and Condition.” Next, you want to add the payment processor for your checkout page. It’s not necessary to repeat the steps that you did in step 2.

Just click on the Payments tab and turn the Payment options that are active on.

If Stripe is integrated, you will find it active. You can also turn it on.

A secondary payment processor can also be added. This is only for merchants that want to add a second product. Click on the drop-down menu to select an item. Samcart Clickbank

You are adding an upsell product. Click on “Upsell” to edit the upsell options. This is how an upsell product should look like:

This should be something your customers are able to add to their shopping carts to complement the product they have purchased.

To edit your Upsells, click on the UpSells tab and edit it. Note that you must have created the product before adding it to the cart. Just click on it and you’re done.

You can also include an upsell channel if you’ve already created it. In this article, we will talk about upsell funnels.

Let’s now look at the next stage in creating our product checkout page, and that’s integration.

You’ll be able to see our MailChimp integration in the drop down list.

From the drop-down menu, you can select which customer list to add or remove from after a purchase.

However, if you have a product that requires membership, make sure to integrate your membership portal using this method.

The last section of this section is called the Advanced section.

You can include one important script in your Facebook pixel or Google Analytics scripts to help you obtain more data to improve marketing.

An pop up will open to let you fill in your upsell information:

Once you are done filling out your form, enable the settings and save them.

Instead of receiving email notifications about their application being pending approval (which they might be), they will be approved automatically. They will receive their login details immediately. Once they log in to their dashboard, they’ll automatically be approved.
