Step 1: Edit settings

Select MailChimp from drop-down menu to edit integration details. Add the integration label and input your API key.

To add custom fields, click on the + Create New button.

A pop-up will be displayed.

Enter the names of fields you wish to add. While the customer won’t see the inner field name, the customer’s check out page label will show it as the field title.

The drop-down list will display a list of items when you click on the box. For a drop down list, the customer is limited to selecting one item.

A checkbox will have several options that a user has the option to choose from. The customer can decide to choose all of them or choose just one out of all of them.

This is a single-item checkbox.

After you’re done, click Save.

You can add as many as possible. I warn you that customers don’t like long forms. Don’t make your form too long.

They’ll most likely abandon it. Like I stated earlier, 2 out of 3 customers will abandon their shopping cart.

Please, be simple.

Just enter their email address in the Enter email field and click on Add New. Once they accept your request, you will be sent an email. Once they do, they should be able to login as an administrator, too.

You are done with Step one in the setup process.

Next, let’s move to Step 2:

Step 2 Connect a Processor

If you have not been following this tutorial, please go back and open the previous tab. To receive payments, connect a payment processor. Click the Add Payment Processing button.

You will be taken back to Settings. Here you will find the Payment Integration option.

To add a payment processor, click on the big ADD NEW button or the +Add New Button by the top right corner of the page.

SamCart now integrates with Stripe and Paypal.

Once you click on the Create New button, a page will pop up showing this:

Click on Stripe and Paypal. If you click on Stripe, this page will show up for you to login your credentials.

Complete the form and you’ll be good to go. Check to make sure that your country appears on Stripe payment acceptance lists.

You can add both payment options for customers if you choose. Customers can choose the preferred payment processor.

Let’s now move on to the next step.

Step 3: Create A Product

Now go back to your dashboard. You will be redirected to Payment processor page. The most exciting part is here: Click on the Add First Product button.

You should now see the page below after you have clicked on the button.

Click on the +New Product button.

This page will be available for you to add product information. Enter the product name, price, and description. Also, choose whether you want a one-time or recurring payment.

An ebook product will be a one-time payment product. However, an online course or membership will require a recurring payment option.

Once you have entered the product information you may need to update the next page.

You’ll see them in the top menu. There are other settings that you can change to complete your checkout.

Let’s start with the product picture. Upload your product image. The image will appear exactly as this on the SamCart checkout pages:

You can enter the URL of the webpage your customers will visit when they make their purchase from your checkout page. Most people will have a page like yourdomain.com/thankyou.html Next enter the product type are you selling a digital product or physical product?

Finally, for this stage, if you’re going to use coupons for marketing, you can enable the coupon code option.

When you enable it, people will be able add coupons to your product to get a discount.

Click on the Add New Coupon button, a pop up will show up with the following information:

They might say that it could become very expensive in the future and they may not have the money to purchase it at the time.

Complete the coupon setup: Pick a code for your coupon, and select whether it is a one time coupon or a regular coupon. Choose the one that best describes what your customer wants.
