Let’s go a little deep on how to get it all set up:

Create an account

It is very simple to create a SamCart. Log in to SamCart.com. Click on the obvious “Try it Free” button.

You’ll be taken to the pricing page. Here you can choose which plan you would like to try.

You’re not required to make any initial payment before trying it out. Click on any of these plans to be taken the checkout page.

During the 14-day free trial period, there will be no charges for you to use the product. You may cancel your subscription within 14 days of the trial.

You’ll be taken directly to a signup page once you have placed your order.

Your marketplace will be created. The form below is the example.

Fill out the form and once you’re done, click “Create Marketplace” to get started.

You are now fully registered and you can begin using SamCart. Samcart 3

Next is creating a checkout webpage. Here is an example of how SamCart’s dashboard will look:

It took only 3 steps to create your checkout page.

Step 1 Edit Settings

Click on the Edit settings button, and the page you want to edit will be displayed in a brand new tab. Do not worry, the page will be automatically taken to.

Let’s move on.

The Edit page can be divided into five sections. The General tab allows you to edit a variety of options, including your cart logo and your content URL parameters.

Let’s check out what you can change in these fields:

i). Marketplace Name. The Marketplace name can be changed at any time.

You can edit it if it’s not correct.

The next step is to choose a default country to display on your checkout pages. However, your customers have the option to change this at any time.

ii). Time Zone: Now, you can select which Time Zone your cart should be using. Samcart 3

This is important since if you add a product expired date, your date/time and time will be calculated based off the timezone you specified. You can tell your customers the timezone you are using.

iii). Support Contact: In this field, you want to add your support contact email. Add an email address so customers can easily reach you.

Any email can be added. However, it’s better to add a business email address, for example, [email protected]

iv). Currency: It’s also important to note that you won’t be able to change your currency after you set it during registration. You can’t change the currency at this stage.

However, if you want to change it, you should be able to do that by contacting the SamCart support team.

v Embed HTML/Scripts field: If you are a little tech-savvy and want to add any HTML or JavaScript code to your checkout page, you can add your code in the Embed HTML/Scripts field.

This will work without any additional settings. It should work right out the box. Samcart 3

vi You can also choose where you want your customers to go after they have completed their purchase. Do you want them to redirect to the original redirect URL or you want to display a summary page with redirect links It’s up to you.

With the Redirect Link Button Text, you can tell your customers what next to do with a call for action button.

You could allow them access to the product, let them download the digital product they purchased, or invite them to your premium area.

After you have completed this step, you will be ready to go. You can also configure your marketing analytics in one go.

You can keep the settings as they are. You can customize the settings by changing the names of the fields as shown in the example.

Save these settings once you’re done editing them. The Save button is located at the top-right corner of the page.

Next, move to Integration menu tab. There is a wide range of integration options.

It is important to set up the integration early so that you don’t have it to do each time you need to sell a product.

Let’s begin by integrating our email-autoresponder software. Click on the + Add New button to add an email service.

Select the one which applies to you. If you’ve signed up with AWeberor MailChimp, you can click on it and follow the instructions for integration.

Let’s suppose that MailChimp would be your autoresponder choice in this instance.

You can edit the integration details by selecting MailChimp in the drop-down menu. Input your API key and add the integration label.

You can enter any name you desire for your label. This will be what you use to identify the integration should you choose to. Name it something descriptive. I’ll name mine MailChimp Integration. Samcart 3

Next, log into your MailChimp Account to obtain your API key. Log into Mailchimp.com by entering your username & password.

After you login successfully to your MailChimp email account, you can go to the Extras menu. Here you’ll find API key drop-down lists.

Click on the Create Key button to generate the API key for you automatically. There is nothing else you need to do.

Copy it and copy it to your SamCart Integration setup.

This is all there is to it.

You might also need to integrate another platform. This process could be slightly different.

You don’t even have to go to your dashboard in order to obtain your API Key. Aweber will automatically log you in to complete your integration.

Here’s an example:

Log in here and you’re good to go.

That’s all. Samcart 3

These are usually the two ways the integration processes always work, in many cases.

But if your product is a membership site, you might also want to integrate with a membership platform.

Scroll down to find the Membership link.

Click the + Add New button.

And this page will show up:

Click on Add Integration after you have selected the membership platform to be used for your product.

You can enter all the details and click on the “integrate” button. All of the necessary information can be found in your dashboard. Log into your OptimizeMember dashboard to get them.

Next, customize the email settings. To access this functionality click on the Email tab Some of the settings you can edit include:

a Email Footer Editable: Here you can modify the footer details for every email that you send from dashboard. You can do this either automatically or manually.

Once you click it, a popup box will show up for you to edit.

Next, create emails that are consistent for all customers for specific events. Samcart 3

For example, when a customer order is refunded.

b Customizable Emails:

Click the Edit button to edit it.

What about when processes go sour? These are where you will set the email messages that customers receive when processes fail.

c). Emails to Dupes

When you are done editing your emails, you can go ahead to add some custom fields if you like. If you wish to add customized fields on your checkout page, this is the place to do it.

To add custom fields, click on the + Create New button.

Pop ups will appear.

Please enter the names of the fields that you wish to add. The customer won’t see the internal field name, but the check-out page label will.

A drop-down menu of items will appear when the mouse is pressed on the field. Understand that for a drop-down list, the customer can only choose one item.

A checkbox may contain many items the user can select from. The customer can decide to choose all of them or choose just one out of all of them.

However, this is only a one-item checkbox.

After you’re done, click Save.

As many as you like. Let me warn you: Customers hate long forms. Do not make your form too long.

They will most likely abandon the cart. As I mentioned earlier, two thirds of customers abandon their shopping cart.

Add another reason for them not to return. Research shows that 27% of shoppers abandon shopping carts due to it being too complicated or long. Samcart 3

Please keep it simple.

Simply enter their email address into the Enter email field, and then click on Add New. Your request will be accepted by them via email. Once they have accepted your request, they’ll be able to log in as an administrator.

You are done with Step one in the setup process.

Next, let’s move on to Step 2

Step 2: Connect a Processor

If you’ve been following this tutorial, you can go back to the first tab. Now you will connect a pay processor to allow you to receive payments. Click on the Add Payment Processor button.

You will be taken back to Settings. There you’ll find the payment integration choice.

To add a payment processing processor, click the big ADD NEW button in the top right corner.

SamCart now integrates with Stripe and Paypal.

Once you click on the Create New button, a page will pop up showing this:

Click on either Paypal or Stripe. Clicking on Stripe will bring up a page for you to log in.

Fill in the form and you should be ready to go. Verify that your country is listed in Stripe’s accepted countries.

You can add both payment options for customers if you choose. Customers have the option to choose their preferred payment processor.

Let’s continue to the next step.

Step 3: Create a product

Now return to your dashboard. The Payment processor page will redirect you from your dashboard. Click on the Add First Product Button this is the interesting part.

After clicking on the button, you will see the following page.

Click on “+New Product”.

This page allows you to update product information. You will need to enter the product name, description, and price. You can also choose whether it will be a one-time payment or recurring.

A product such an ebook will typically be a one-time purchase type. However, a product like a membership, or an online course, will likely require a regular payment option.

After adding the product information to the page, you might need more information on the next page.

The settings are located at the top of the menu.

Let’s start by looking at the product image. Upload your product image. This image will appear on the SamCart checkout page.

When customers make a purchase on your checkout page they will be directed to a specific webpage. Most people will have a page like yourdomain.com/thankyou.html Next enter the product type are you selling a digital product or physical product?

If the product is digital, you can upload it immediately. If it’s not a product in digital format, you have the option to ignore that option. Samcart 3

Finally, at this stage, you can enable coupon codes if your plan is to use coupons as marketing tools.

When you enable it, people will be able add coupons to your product to get a discount.

Click the Add New Coupon Button. A pop-up will display the following information:

Promo codes can be a great way of generating more customers for your company. Customers love discounts, just think about it, some customers can buy stuff they don’t even need just because it’s discounted.

They’ll admit that it might become expensive later and may not be able to afford it.

They’ll most likely be motivated to purchase. Coupon code marketing is a fantastic strategy. Samcart 3

Setup the coupon code: Select a code to use for your coupon code. Also, choose whether it will be a one-time or recurring coupon code. Choose the option that best describes the product you are offering your customers.

Please note that couponing is optional.

Let’s get to the checkout page design now:

Click on the Checkout Design tab and then select from more than 18 templates at the time of writing. You can choose the one that best suits your brand.

Scroll down to personalize the design. There are many settings you can adjust to make your brand voice heard.

Start by customizing the colors.

You can select from predefined color codes and create your own. The best thing about it is that you can use the color picker to choose the color you want, without having to worry about the code.

You can change the color of the header, footer, background, headline, and your buttons color.

Next, you will need to add fields. This includes your custom fields. We also have the “school”, which we previously created, that we can add to your product pages. You can check the fields that you wish to make active on your checkout pages.

You can now move to the next settings in your product guarantee settings. What guarantee are they offering your customers Are you offering a 30 days money back guarantee? Samcart 3

This setting is available here. SamCart was built with conversions in mind. These features are designed to encourage conversion.

To add more bullet points on your Checkout page, you can use the +Add Bolt button.

Once that is complete, you are ready to add your terms. You can now turn it in.

In the case where you turn it on, a customer must agree to your terms and conditions before they’ll be able to buy your product.

Remember that you will provide a URL to where your terms & conditions content is hosted.

The link is located at bottom of the page. It will include the hyperlink “Terms, Conditions”. Next you will need to add payment processors for your checkout page. You won’t need repeat step 2 again.

Just click on the Payments tab and turn the Payment options that are active on.

Since I have integrated PayPal only for this review, PayPal is only active in my instance. Samcart 3

You can activate Stripe if Stripe has already been integrated.

It is possible to add a second payment processor. This is for merchants looking to add an additional product. Click on the drop-down menu to select an item. Samcart 3

You wish to add an additional product. Click on “Upsell” to edit the upsell options. This is how an upsell product should look like:

It should be an item your customers can add to their shopping cart to compliment the product they’ve bought.

Click on the UpSells tab to edit your Upsells. When adding a product to your cart, make sure you have created it, just like the product for belly fat. You just need to click on the Add button.

You can also add an upsell funnel to this page if you have one. We’ll talk more on upsell funnel later in this article.

Next, let’s look at integration.

Click the Integration tab

You’ll be able to see our MailChimp integration in the drop down list.

From the drop-down menu, you can select which customer list to add or remove from after a purchase.

This will enable segmentation of your email list, allowing you to better market and send the right emails at the right moment to the right customer. Samcart 3

It’s also important to note that membership integration is not possible.

However, if you have a product that requires membership, make sure to integrate your membership portal using this method.

The last section is Advanced.

If you think you’re a rockstar and want to add some custom script to customize your checkout page further, here is where to do it. You can add HTML codes to your checkout pages header or footer.

To help you get more data for better marketing, you can add the following script to your Facebook pixel script.

An upsell can be a great way for customers to spend more than they have committed to.

You might think adding bacon to a cheeseburger is a good idea? Most of the time, however, you didn’t intend to add them. Samcart 3

One click upsell allows customers to purchase more products before or after checkout. All they have to do is click one button and pay for the entire product.

Log on to your SamCart dashboard, click on the drop-down menu for upsells, and select UPSELLS.

The upsell page will now appear.

Click on +ADD NEW UPSELL to get started creating your upsell.

A pop-up will appear to allow you to fill in the details of your upsell.

Enter the product and details you wish to upsell. Once you’re done, click on the Create Upsell button. Next, you will be taken to a page where you can further customize your upsell details. Samcart 3

To increase conversion, you can add a YouTube video. You also have the option to adjust other settings to maximize your sales potential.

Once you’re done filling in the form, enable it and save it.

Now your upsell is complete. You can easily add new products to your existing product every time you make a change.

Split testing is an effective marketing tool. Marketing requires you to be proficient at testing, testing, then testing again.

Split testing is a way to remove guesswork from the equation and concentrate on results.

Remind your customers when their credit card expires to prevent them from losing recurring payments.

Your SamCart dashboard has a report section that will allow you to see how your checkout pages are performing.

To access the page, log into your dashboard and navigate the AFFILIATES menu bar to the right.

Once the page is loaded, scroll down the page to locate the fields where affiliates can login and the area where they will sign up.

If you post the signup page link in the browser, you’ll see something similar to this but with your product name:

Affiliates can register with that link to start promoting your products. After your affiliates have created an account, they will be notified that the registration was successful and that their application has been approved.

You can manually approve, decline or accept an application from your affiliate dashboard. Samcart 3

Once they have been approved they will receive their login credentials Email, password, login URL. This allows them to access their accounts, as well as everything else they need, in order to promote your products.

You can also activate automatic approval via your Affiliate dashboard, even if they are still pending.

Scroll down to your affiliate dashboard, and you will see a slide called Auto Approval that you can toggle on/off.

Instead of receiving email notifications about their application being pending approval (which they might be), they will be approved automatically. They’ll receive their login details right away and will be automatically logged into their dashboard.

Here’s how the dashboards of your affiliates will look once they login.

How long will you like someone who clicked on your affiliate links without purchasing the first time to be regarded as the affiliate referral when they eventually register?

You can ask, for example, that if I click on your link and go to your checkout page within 30 days to make a payment, will my referral status be maintained?

Scroll down further to modify the settings for Sales Letter Popup.

Once you have everything set up click the share button in the top-left corner of your dashboard. This will give you the code to add to your website.
