Create an account

Step 1: Edit Settings

To edit the page, click on the Edit Settings button. A new tab will open. You’ll automatically be taken to the page.

The Edit page has five sections. You can edit the General tab to change a lot of things, such as your cart logo or your content URL parameters.

This is important since if you add a product expired date, your date/time and time will be calculated based off the timezone you specified. You can tell your customers the timezone you are using.

iii). Support Contact: In this field, you want to add your support contact email. Add an email address to which customers can contact you easily.

iv). Currency: Please note that after you register, you can’t change the currency. At this point, your currency cannot be changed.

Pick the one that’s most relevant to you. You can click the link if you have signed up for AWeberor MailChimp and follow the instructions to integrate.

Let’s say that MailChimp was your preferred autoresponder for this example.

Modify the integration details for MailChimp if you have selected it from the dropdown menu. Add the integration label and input your API key.

To get your API Key, log in to MailChimp. Log into Mailchimp.com by entering your username & password.

After you login successfully to MailChimp, navigate the Extras menu. API keys will be found in the drop down list.

These are two common ways that integration processes work in many cases.

If your product is a subscription site, you may also wish to integrate with a platform for members.

Scroll down the integration page to locate the Membership link.

Click the + Add New button.

b). Emails that can be customized

To edit the file, click on the Edit button.

What about when processes go sour? This is where you can set up the emails that are sent to customers when processes fail. They are known as Dunning Emails.

After editing your emails are complete, you can add custom field if you would like. In case you want to add some customized fields to your checkout page, here is where to do it in the CUSTOM FIELDS tab.

Custom Fields: Click on the + Add New button to create a new field.

A pop-up will be displayed.

Enter the name(s) of the fields you would like to add. However, your customer won’t be able to see the internal field names. Instead, the customer will see the check out label as the field name.

A drop-down list of items appears when you click the field. For a drop down list, the customer is limited to selecting one item.

A checkbox can contain multiple items that the user can choose from. A customer has the option to select all of them, or just one.

It is a checkbox for one item.

After you’re done, click Save.

You can add as much as you want. You should be aware that customers dislike long forms. Don’t make your form too long.

They will likely abandon their shopping cart. As I said, about 2/3 of all customers will abandon their shopping cart.

Keep it simple.

Enter their email address in Enter email and click on the Add New button. Your request will be accepted by them via email. Once they do, they should be able to login as an administrator, too.

You’re done with Step 1 in the setup process.

Step 2: Connect a Processor

If you have not been following this tutorial, please go back and open the previous tab. At this point, you want to connect a payment processor to enable you to receive payments. Click on the Add payment processor button.

To add a payment processor, click on the big ADD NEW button or the +Add New Button by the top right corner of the page.

SamCart has integrated with Stripe (PayPal) and Paypal (as of the writing of this article).

Once you click on the Create New button, a page will pop up showing this:

Click on Stripe and Paypal. Click on Stripe to open this page and log in with your credentials.

You can start by filling out the form. Make sure your country is the list of countries that accept Stripe payments.

If you are able to include both payment options for your customers that would be nice. Customers can choose which payment processor they prefer.

Let’s continue to the next step.

Step 3 Create a Product

Return to your dashboard. From where you were redirected to the Payment processor page. This is the exciting part.

Click that button and you’ll see the following page.

Click on “+New Product”.

This page allows you to update product information. Enter the name, price, and description of your product. Select whether you’d like it to be a onetime payment or a recurring.

An ebook is a type of product that can be purchased once. A membership or online course, on the other hand, will need recurring payments.

Once you have entered the product information you may need to update the next page.

You can see that at the top menu, they’re other settings you can make to complete your check out.

Let’s begin with the product image. Upload your product image. This image will appear on the SamCart checkout page.

You can enter the URL of the webpage your customers will visit when they make their purchase from your checkout page. Most people will have a page like yourdomain.com/thankyou.html Next enter the product type are you selling a digital product or physical product?

Finally, for this stage, if you’re going to use coupons for marketing, you can enable the coupon code option.

When you enable it, people will be able add coupons to your product to get a discount.

Click on the Add New Coupon button. A popup window will open with the following information.

Coupon codes are a great way for businesses to get more customers. Discounts are a favorite with customers. Just think, some customers will buy things they don’t need because it’s cheap.

They will say it may become too expensive later on, when they might be in need and don’t have the cash.

Next, you’ll need to add some fields, including custom fields. If you remember the “school”, we can also add this to your product page. Make sure you check all fields that should be visible on your checkout page.

Have in mind that you’ll provide a URL where your terms and condition content is hosted.

But, if your product has a membership requirement, you need to integrate your member portal using the method that we previously discussed.

Step 1: Edit Settings

Click on the Edit Settings button and the page to edit will appear in a new tab. It won’t take long for you to be taken directly to that page.

The Edit page has five sections. The General tab allows you to edit a variety of options, including your cart logo and your content URL parameters.

i. Marketplace Name. You can always change your Marketplace name.

The next step is to choose a default country to display on your checkout pages. However, your customers have the option to change this at any time.

Select the one which applies to you. Click on the icon if you’ve already signed up with AWeberor MailChimp to proceed with integration.

Let’s just assume MailChimp as your autoresponder.

Modify the integration details for MailChimp if you have selected it from the dropdown menu. Add the integration label and input your API key.

Next, log into your MailChimp Account to obtain your API key. Log into Mailchimp.com by entering your username & password.

Once you have successfully logged into your MailChimp Account, go to the Extras Menu. There you will find API keys in a drop-down menu.

A checkbox will have several options that a user has the option to choose from. Customers can choose to pick all or one of the items in a checkbox.

However, this is only a one-item checkbox.

Click on Save once you are done.

You can add as much as you want. I warn you that customers don’t like long forms. Be brief.

They’ll most likely abandon it. As I mentioned earlier, two thirds of customers abandon their shopping cart.

Please, keep it simple.

Just enter their email address in the Enter email field and click on Add New. Once they accept your request, you will be sent an email. Once they accept the request, they should also be able register as an administrator.

The form is easy to fill out. Make sure your country is the list of countries that accept Stripe payments.

You can add both payment options for customers if you choose. Customers can choose the preferred payment processor.

Let’s now move on to the next step.

Step 3: Create A Product

Now return to the dashboard. Return to your dashboard. This is the exciting part.

After clicking on the button, you will see the following page.

Click on +New Product.

This page will show up for you to add new product information. You will need to enter the product name, description, and price. And also choose if it’s going to be a one time payment or recurring payment.

A product such an ebook will typically be a one-time purchase type. However, a product like a membership, or an online course, will likely require a regular payment option.

After adding the product information to the page, you might need more information on the next page.

These settings can be found in the top menu.

Let’s begin by uploading the product photo. Upload your product image. This image will appear on the SamCart checkout page.

You can enter the URL of the webpage your customers will visit when they make their purchase from your checkout page. Most people will have a page like yourdomain.com/thankyou.html Next enter the product type are you selling a digital product or physical product?

Complete the coupon setup: Pick a code for your coupon, and select whether it is a one time coupon or a regular coupon. Select the option that best describes your product or service.
