Create an account

It’s easy to set up a SamCart profile. Log in to SamCart.com, and click the “TRY IT FREE” button.

You will be redirected directly to the pricing page, where you can select the plan that interests you.

It’s not necessary to pay an initial payment in order to try it. When you click on any one of the plans you will be taken straight to the checkout page.

During the 14 day trial, the product will not be charged to your credit card. You can cancel your subscription anytime during the 14-day trial period.

Once you complete the order you’ll be taken to a signup page.

And then you’ll have to create your marketplace. The form below is the example.

Complete the form, and click “Create Marketplace” once you are done.

Next, you will need to create a checkout site. This is how your SamCart dashboard should look.

As you can see, it takes only three steps to create your checkout pages.

Step 1 Edit Settings

Click on the Edit settings button, and the page you want to edit will be displayed in a brand new tab. Be assured that you will automatically be taken there.

Let’s continue to go step by step.

The Edit page has five sections. You can edit the General tab to change a lot of things, such as your cart logo or your content URL parameters.

Let’s find out what we can do with these fields.

i). Marketplace Name: The Marketplace name is something you can always change, remember you added it in your signup process, right?

You can edit it if it’s not correct.

You can then choose a country that will be displayed as default on your checkout page. Customers can also change this to any country they wish.

This is important because, if you include a product expiry day, your date/time will be calculated based on your time zone. You can inform your customers about the time zone.

iii). Support Contact. In this area, add your support contact email. Add an email address customers can reach you easily.

You can add any email you like. However, it’s better to add a business email address, for example, [email protected]

iv). Currency: It’s also important to note that you won’t be able to change your currency after you set it during registration. So at this point, you can’t change your currency.

v Embed HTML/Scripts field: If you are a little tech-savvy and want to add any HTML or JavaScript code to your checkout page, you can add your code in the Embed HTML/Scripts field.

vi Purchase completion: In this field, you want to select where your users will be taken to after making a purchase. If you would like them to go back to the original URL, you can display a summary page or include redirect links. It’s your choice.

With the Redirect Link Button Text, you can tell your customers what next to do with a call for action button.

They can be granted access to digital products, such as the product. You also allow them to join your premium area.

After you have completed this step, you will be ready to go. However, if you’d like to instantly configure your marketing analysis, you can do so here.

You can keep the settings as they are. However, if you wish to create a custom setting, just follow the steps above and replace the names in the fields.

Let’s start with integrating our email autoresponder software. To add an email address service, click the + Add New button.

Select the one that is most applicable to you. You can click the link if you have signed up for AWeberor MailChimp and follow the instructions to integrate.

Let’s say that MailChimp was your preferred autoresponder for this example.

Modify the integration details for MailChimp if you have selected it from the dropdown menu. Add the integration label and input your API key.

For your label, you can use any name that you like. That’s what you’ll use to identify this integration in case you want to use it. You can name it anything that is descriptive. I’ll name mine MailChimp Integration. Deadline Funnel Samcart

To get your API Key, log in to MailChimp. Log in to Mailchimp.com using your username and password.

Once you have successfully logged into your MailChimp Account, go to the Extras Menu. There you will find API keys in a drop-down menu.

Click on the Create Key button to generate the API key for you automatically. There is nothing else you need to do.

Copy it, and then paste it into the SamCart integration set-up.

That’s it.

It might take a little longer if you are also looking to integrate another platform.

For example, to integrate with Aweber, you don’t have to go get your API key from your dashboard manually, the system just allows you to login and it completes the integration.

These are two common ways that integration processes work in many cases.

If your product is a subscription site, you may also wish to integrate with a platform for members.

Scroll down until you find the link to join.

Click on the +Add New button.

This page will appear:

Click on Add Integration after you have selected the membership platform to be used for your product.

You can enter all the details and click on the “integrate” button. All of the necessary information can be found in your dashboard. Log in to OptimizeMember Dashboard to view them.

Next, customize the email settings. To access this functionality, click on the Email Tab.

Once you click the button, a popup will appear for you to modify.

To edit the file, click on the Edit button.

What happens if processes fail completely? These are the Dunning Emails, which you use to send emails to customers when processes fail.

After editing your emails are complete, you can add custom field if you would like. In case you want to add some customized fields to your checkout page, here is where to do it in the CUSTOM FIELDS tab.

Custom Fields Click on the + Create New button to add a field.

A pop up will appear.

Please enter the names of the fields that you wish to add. The customer won’t see the internal field name, but the check-out page label will.

You will see a list with all the items you have selected when you click on it. The customer can only select one item from a drop-down menu.

A checkbox will contain several items that a user can choose from. A customer has the option to select all of them, or just one.

It is a checkbox for one item.

After you have finished, click on Save.

You can add as many as you wish. You should be aware that customers dislike long forms. Your form shouldn’t be too long.

They’ll likely abandon it. Like I stated earlier, 2 out of 3 customers will abandon their shopping cart.

You shouldn’t give customers another reason to abandon your site. One of the main reasons 27% customers abandon shopping carts is that it is too complicated. Deadline Funnel Samcart

Keep it simple.

Simply enter their email address into the Enter email field, and then click on Add New. The email will be sent to them to confirm your request. Once they have accepted your request, they’ll be able to log in as an administrator.

Now you are done with Step 1.

Next, let’s move to Step 2:

Step 2 Connect a Processor

If you’ve been following this tutorial, you can go back to the first tab. At this point, you want to connect a payment processor to enable you to receive payments. Click the Add Payment Processing button.

You’ll be taken to the Settings once again and in the integration tab. Where you can find the payment integration option.

To add a payment processing processor, click the big ADD NEW button in the top right corner.

SamCart has integrated with Stripe (PayPal) and Paypal (as of the writing of this article).

After clicking on the Create New link, a page will open showing you this:

Click on Stripe, or Paypal. Click on Stripe to open this page and log in with your credentials.

You can start by filling out the form. Check that your country is on the Stripe payment list.

If you’re willing to offer two payment options to customers, it will be a nice touch. Customers have the option to choose their preferred payment processor.

Let’s continue to the next step.

Step 3 Create a Product

Now return to your dashboard. Now you will be taken to the Payment processor page. Click on the Add First Product Button this is the interesting part.

Once you click on that button, you should see the following page:

Click on “+New Product”.

This page will be available for you to add product information. Enter the product name and price. Select whether you’d like it to be a onetime payment or a recurring.

A product such an ebook will typically be a one-time purchase type. However, a product like a membership, or an online course, will likely require a regular payment option.

After you have added the product information, it is possible that you will need to provide additional information on the next page.

As you can see, there are additional settings you can choose to complete your check-out.

Let’s start by looking at the product image. Upload your product image. This image will appear on the SamCart checkout page.

When your customers complete their order on your checkout page, enter a URL address. Most people will have a page like yourdomain.com/thankyou.html Next enter the product type are you selling a digital product or physical product?

If it’s a digital product, you have the option to upload it immediately. If it isn’t a digital product, however, you can ignore that option. Deadline Funnel Samcart

Final note: If you are going to use coupon codes for marketing purposes, you can enable this option.

Once you enable it, you’ll be able to add coupons people can use to buy your product at a discounted price.

Click on the Add New Coupon button, a pop up will show up with the following information:

Promo codes can be a great way of generating more customers for your company. Customers love discounts. Think about it: Some customers may be able to buy items they don’t even need simply because the price is lower.

They might say that it could become very expensive in the future and they may not have the money to purchase it at the time.

Click on the Checkout Design tab to choose from 18 templates at this time. Any of the templates you like can be selected.

Scroll down to personalize the design. You’ll find a bunch of settings you can edit to match your brand’s voice.

You can begin by customizing the color.

You have the option to choose from predefined color codes or design your own. It has a colour picker that allows you to pick the color you wish without having to remember the color codes.

You can change your header color, footer color, background color, headline and buttons color.

Next, you want to add some fields including your custom fields remember the “school” field we created previously, we can also add it here to your product page. Check all the fields you want to be active on your checkout page.

After you have completed the setup, you can add your terms and conditions. You can now turn it in.

Customers must accept your terms and condition before they are able to purchase your product.

Have in mind that you’ll provide a URL where your terms and condition content is hosted.

You will find the link at the bottom of your page under the hyperlink “Terms & Conditions.” Next, add the payment processor to your checkout page. You won’t need repeat step 2 again.

Click on the Payments tab to turn on any active payment options.

However, if Stripe has been integrated into your system, it will be active and you can turn the on/off switch.

You can also add another payment processor. This is for merchants looking to add an additional product. Select an item by clicking on the dropdown menu. Deadline Funnel Samcart

You wish to add an additional product. Click on the Upsell tab and edit the option. Here’s an example of what your upsell product might look like.

This should be something your customers are able to add to their shopping carts to complement the product they have purchased.

Click on the UpSells button to modify your Upsells. When adding a product to your cart, make sure you have created it, just like the product for belly fat. Click and then add the product.

It’s possible to add upsell funnels here if you have created one. We’ll be discussing the upsell channel later in this article.

Once they have been approved, they will receive their login details Email, password and URL. From there, they can access the accounts and all they need to promote your products.

However, if you don’t want to keep them pending, you can activate automatic approval in your Affiliate dashboard.

Scroll to the bottom of your affiliate dashboard to edit these settings. You’ll see a slide called “Auto Approval” that you can toggle off or on:

Instead of getting email notifications that their application was pending approval, applicants will automatically be approved. They will immediately receive their login information and be logged in to the dashboard.

How long will you like someone who clicked on your affiliate links without purchasing the first time to be regarded as the affiliate referral when they eventually register?

Scroll down on your affiliate dashboard to find the Cookie Expiration button. Enter the number of days you want it to last.

As an example, if someone clicks an affiliate link, and they purchase your product within 30 calendar days, the transaction will be recorded for your associates.
